Re: Gonna Quit Raiding
A suggestion, just pug the ICC runs each week. We hunters are lucky in that many of our best gear items drop from early bosses.
I'm trying to step back from the game some, and part of that is going to be just raiding on my hunter, and likely puging the 25-man raids.

Re: Deathbringer's Will
It's still BiS for any hunter, or at least 2nd BiS, so it will fit nicely in anyone's first or second trinket slot.
In other words, roll on it.

Likely he was messing with you. Thankfully there is an ignore feature.

Re: Pet dps, found something interesting...
Ok, one last numbers mention... To see what would happen, I turned on the maximized set of buffs/debuffs in the spreadsheet, and.. Trex is on top, with raptor 16dps less, and wolf about 34dps less than the Trex. I would assume at that point the higher damage physical attack of the Trex is getting mo...

Re: Pet dps, found something interesting...
I did try it before posting my response with my gear in a BM spec and got a 650 DPS decrease. Gemming for ArPen didn't make a tangible difference either. Now removing Growl from the pet's casting, meaning I'm not using the Worm as a tank, nets a substantial 273 DPS increase, but the lack of a Sunde...

Re: Ultimate stable, and Cata changes?...
you all are going to be mad at me, lol.. I released Skoll to get a wolf again, at least until I find Aotona. 3 spirit beasts just didn't make sense when I don't get them out much. I tamed the red wolf out of Blasted Lands since Barnabus wasn't around.

Re: Pet dps, found something interesting...
That doesn't make sense to me. Yes, the Worm's Acid Spit is nice if no warriors are there to apply Sunder but despite that a Tenacity pet will not put out anywhere near the DPS of a Ferocity pet. The pet's dps is lower, but your dps is a lot higher because of it. It's the same 20% reduction. Like I...

Re: Rare Pets: Your Thoughts
Well, there are plenty you can get that everyone will know are true rare spawns, from the spirit beasts to Krush to Aotona and Old Cliff Jumper and more.. that's probably one of the reasons I try to collect unique skin rare-spawns...

For dps.. if they were competitive at all, I'd have one...celestial88 wrote:Just wondering, do you mean you would love to tame one, or love one for Dps? Because they are tameable.Fearstalker wrote:and carrion birds... I'd love to have Trachela
But still most of all, the armoured boars.

Pet dps, found something interesting...
So yeah, we all know, wolf is top dps (but you don't always see that boost in non-raid situations..). But I went checking to see how close other pets were, and I found something surprising. While the wolf is on top, the next best dps pet if there is no one to apply sunder/expose for the armour reduc...

Re: Cataclysm Class Preview: Hunter
Hmm.. so many things will change, but not all what we expected to change. My biggest question is still the fate of engineering. With ammo removed, it eliminates one of the huge bonuses that engineering held for me (I make quite a bit selling bullets now). So the question is, will engineering provide...

Re: What pet would you most like fixed to be viable?
They took away my Gezzarak's summoning fire. =[ I want it back. This. D: And, imo, gorillas should get a better skill than an interrupt that doesn't even do damage. I know I'm in the minority, but I loved them back when Thunderstomp was exclusive. Not that I'm not glad my warp stalker has it now, b...

What pet would you most like fixed to be viable?
Blizz has done a lot of pet changes over the years, and as I was browsing Petopia last night, I got to wondering.. what pet would I most like fixed? For me, it's easy, I'd like boars to be viable for dps again, or tanking. I still love the armoured boars, and would love to have one by my side again ...

I'd release Skol or Arct, as they are far easier to find again. Aotona might be the hardest to find again, with the way Sholo is camped by farmers.

Re: Ultimate stable, and Cata changes?...
For versatility you'd ideally have a multi-tanking pet, a single-mob tanking pet, a good pvp pet, and maybe a pair of ferocity pets with different useful talents. A 'specialized' stable could stock you up on pets that are good for a specific function...for example, a wolf, devilsaur, tallstrider, s...

Re: Ultimate stable, and Cata changes?...
Well, wouldn't you know.. I post about a stable, and when playing around with my pets tonight, and up pops Skoll while I was waiting for the TLPD, so my generic Northrend worm was released (the worm was grabbed as a temp while waiting for Aotona), and Skoll is mine again, for the 3rd time, at least ...

Ultimate stable, and Cata changes?...
Howdy all, first time poster, long time reader... anyway, I have two questions... First off, what do YOU consider the ultimate stable of pets to be? I've recently decided to take a step back from the raiding world, and while I still will raid, it means going with a boring wolf for 50 extra dps is no...
