Re: Prometheus Ponderings - SPOILERS

hehehe, that was a review of Bladerunner... I think we can all agree that Bladerunner is considered a modern masterpiece of sci-fi cinema. and it sort of shows that only time can really separate the wheat from the chaff. This is why I put very little credence in film critics' opinions. Ah, nao i c ...

Re: Prometheus Ponderings - SPOILERS

I did not like the Ridley Scott interview and wish I hadn't read it. It felt like he went off on a tangent about stuff that (to me), really didn't fit. E.g. I like the idea of the engineers making an early appearance back in 35,000 BC and then clearing the heck out, thus becoming enigmatic and dista...

Here he is with the polished regimental hauberk; I'd originally avoided using the same chest as I prefer to mix things up, but in this case more seems to be better:

Re: Will you race change to Panda?

Yes. My human wizard Fenryke, who I never really bonded with owing to the fact that the human male physique belongs to a bodybuilder and looks decidedly UN-wizardly, is going to be race and name changing to Mogwai, the male pandaren (I've already got the name reserved). I'm also toying with the idea...

Do you have a link?

This is a different one I found from the NYT which actually seemed pretty fair imo:

Re: Panda Death Knight

No no no and no. It would destroy their lore and also the lore of the DKs. The only reason worgens and goblins were permitted was because they both were around since the beginning of WoW, which made it feasible. The only Pandaren seen since Arthas's reign was Chen. All other Pandaren stayed on the ...

Re: Advice needed for a soon(ish) to be single gamer guy...

thanks for the advice all, just the relationship i'm in pretty much has me wondering if i'm worth it and feeling alone, and both relationships have pretty much knocked most of the confidence i've had in myself down quite a few notches, just tired of feeling used and always having that feeling of be...

Re: Tmog challenge: Male Panderan

The male pandaren's certainly is a distinct look, and one that alot of the existing armor models obviously were not designed for, so I suspect even among those (like myself) who pushed for the heavyset look, many will still take some time to acclimate. Most likely (and unsurprisingly), many if not m...

Re: Panda Death Knight

Gonna have to vote "no" like everyone else - while it's always fun to see how a given race would be with zombie minions or would look with an "undead" overlay, I don't think the DK class needs to be available to every race; as others have noted, there isn't even the figleaf of a ...

Re: Rant Thread

So I realized Mass Graves was still on my "No Stone Left Unturned" achievement in D3, and proceeded to waste ohhh approximately two dozen trips checking Old Tristram Road before finally realizing Old Tristram Road actually consists of 2 zones with Old Ruins sandwiched in between (and ofc I...

Diablo 3 - The Lyceum [EDIT: fix't]

Has anyone (on this site) actually found this in game? According to what I've found online this is a rare spawning random dungeon in NE south highlands... but I must've respawned the area 50+ times already and no luck. I have heard people variously saying it's bugged and doesn't appear, or that it W...

Re: Diablo III - graphics lag...? EDIT: some solutions

Another problem I'd sometimes experience, is when switching from background to foreground mode my FPS would suddenly lurch to a virtual halt - I suspect this may have been triggered by differences in max foreground / background FPS caps, so I switched my background FPS limit to 200 as well, and have...

Re: Am I the only one who wants tamable MOLLUSCS?

See that long tube thing on that cone snail? That is it's harpoon it uses to kill it's prey. It's venom is so strong that it can instantly kill anything it shoots it's harpoon into, besides humans, which can die from the lethal venom in under 4 minutes. Please, fear the cone snail. There's one here...

We saw it in 2D - the 3D was later than the babysitter could do. Although 3D has always seemed a bit murky to me (still like it though).

Re: Diablo III - graphics lag...? EDIT: some solutions

3) I'd had the foreground FPS at 60, but just for kicks I tried pushing it all the way over to 200 - and it largely eliminated my remaining lag, strangely enough.

Fear mollusks if you are wise - the real reason for dinosaur extinction was a sudden plague of carnivorous land clams.
