Demon Form pets! (temporary)

Just thought I'd share this with you all as I thought it was pretty hilarious: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/8162/wowscrnshot120410181055.jpg How it works: Killing Burning Blade cultists in Durotar applies a debuff to anyone in a short range around the mob called Felblood . If the debuff stacks...

Re: Thought i'd share this with you all!

That's exactly the point. The spiders don't keep the Fel Taint debuff on their own, the hunter has to do something clearly not intended, as the "pet abandon"-macro is obviously a glitch in the game (otherwise you wouldn't keep the pet, because /script PetAbandon() should... well, abandon i...

I think they use it automatically once they drop below 40% health (or was it 30%?).

Re: Wolverine Bite

Yes, the damage of Wolverine Bite was lowered some time ago, but it also changed from only activating after the target dodged/parried an attack from the pet (which at least in PVE never happened if you had 8% hit) to activating after the pet does a critical hit. With pets now scaling from 100% of ou...

Re: Wolverine Bite

Melee swings and abilities are completely separate from each other, just like Auto Shot and shots/abilities are for us. The only thing Wolverine Bite could potentially interfere with is the pet's basic attack (Bite/Claw/Smack), but those are on a 3 second cooldown so, there's enough "free space...

Re: Best BM/MM cunning pet build?

Akycha, that's a BM spec though, if you want to play as MM/SV with a cunning pet you have to make some choices as there are more useful talents than you have pet talent points. My cunning pets spec for non-BM specs looks like this: http://eu.battle.net/wow/de/character/destromath/nakari/pet#7854560 ...

Re: Seagull tameable this weeks patch 4.0.3a ?

Nope, the new zones (at least those located in the existing continents) are physically "there" in 4.0.3a, complete with mobs and NPCs and all, you just can't get into them because you get ported out immediately. You can however take a look into them with Eagle Eye. ;)

Re: Seagull tameable this weeks patch 4.0.3a ?

Basically, everything not in one of the new zones* (or > level 80) will be tameable after 4.0.3a.

*those are the Goblin Starting Area (Kezan & Lost Isles), the Worgen Starting Area (Gilneas), and the level 81 to 85 zones (Hyjal, Vashj'ir, Deepholme, Uldum, Twilight Highlands, and Tol Barad)

Re: space-goat hunter hit cap problem

Shamans are also affected by this, at least an enhancement shaman's Feral Spirits, and im fairly sure their totems and "totem pets" (Fire & Earth Elemental), too.

Re: Apect of the Wild...how useful?

I have never once used Aspect of the Wild in BC or Wrath. Extremely useless spell, even more so now with all-in-one Resist Totems and new Pally auras. The paladin aura doesn't increase nature resistance though (only fire, shadow and frost), and the shaman totem is a water totem, so you have to repl...

Re: Apect of the Wild...how useful?

Resistances are actually better in WotLK than they were in Vanilla, because the formula changed in such a way that it became a far more reliable form of magic damage reduction. There just wasn't a lot of (dangerous) nature damage around, so we didn't get to use Aspect of the Wild very much. Two boss...

Re: Amani Bear - Suggest It Becomes Tamable

And I agree, they should bring the mount back as well. I never had the chance to even get into ZA before the scrubbed the mount off to the Retirement bin. That was kind of the point why they removed it though. The mount was supposed to be something special and hard to get, and there weren't that ma...

Yes, the debuff from wind serpents (and dragonhawks) increases the damage of all shots / abilities that do magical damage (like Arcane Shot, Serpent Sting, Black Arrow, Chimera Shot, Explosive Shot, Immolation Trap, Explosive Trap ...)

Re: Aimed Shot replacement for BM hunters?

Could somebody with access to the US PTR / Beta-Forum report this bug? You can report on it from in-game. I'd think that's the most certain way to get the information to them. Nope, the feedback tool is disabled on the PTR client, as it is tagged as a "release"-version build (I don't have...

Re: Aimed Shot replacement for BM hunters?

I just stumbled upon a pretty serious bug with Kill Command while doing my proof testing for the numbers in the above post: KC crits double dip from mastery, i.e. they get affected twice. With 19 mastery (= 32% increased pet damage), KC crits were doing 2 * 1.32 = 2.64 times the damage of a non-crit...

Re: About stables.....

You gain a new active stable slot automatically every time you learn a new "rank" of Call Pet. Call Pet 1 @ Level 1 Call Pet 2 @ Level 18 Call Pet 3 @ Level 42 Call Pet 4 @ Level 62 Call Pet 5 @ Level 82 (thus not available until Cataclysm) All the inactive stable slots are available from ...

Re: Aimed Shot replacement for BM hunters?

I tend to prefer Aimed shot at the moment because it's instant, and I can use it on the run. And you're on the run quite a bit. It's also situational though, for the moment. Anyway, it's replacement come Cata will be Kill Command, but not until they buff it to the point where you want to use it ins...
