Re: Mount Acomplishment Thread

My main Druid finally scraped enough gold together for a Mekingneer's Chopper, only to have my Rogue convince her it was environmentally unfriendly. Then he wheedled the keys out of her and went on a crime spree with his nefarious sidekick: http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac220/AdmiralArtume/WoWS...

Perspective and storyline aside (both are fantastic), you have a beautiful writing style, Teigan. I really loved your choice of words.

Re: Dakota's story

That was a great introduction to Dakota. The empathy you used to describe Liyra's relationship with her Deathcharger was particularly fine: it makes me think how Art treats her mount like it's a car, when there's no reason to treat it with any less respect than she does her pets. Food for thought!

I'm incredibly lazy, so I dumped my current 4 in one shot ;) http://www6.printwarcraft.com/uk/imageReferral.jsp?posterId=111920 (I love that site! One day I'll show them how much by actually buying a poster.) From Left to Right: Lupilou, Tarquin, Pining, and Lash, who is running late for his photo-s...

Re: Scared to do instances

Do I ever know the feeling. It's called performance anxiety. I was once lucky enough to belong to a very tight guild where we were all RL friends and did anything necessary to accommodate one another. We would discuss how to spec in order to best support the group, and if it was felt that if a diffe...

Re: She or He...or It?

I always consider my pet's gender to be whatever the undead mobs in the Wetlands say it is. AKA this: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=3360#comments (Jaw drop) I never noticed this! I know what I'll be doing for part of the afternoon now! I'm pretty sure I've enforced new genders on several of...

Re: Petopians EU: Bunny Run!

Ah, sorry to hear you're having a less-than-stellar time, Saturo.

If it's any consolation, my big Easter holiday consists of cat-sitting for a neighbour. (I wouldn't mind, but that cat needs to be slightly taller if I want to comfortably reach the keyboard.)

Re: I got my owl!

Big grats! I'm glad you persevered. I once tried to run a tiny Troll named Arachne through to Darnassus to get Lady Satrath. (With a name like that, only a big conspicuous spider pet would do.) It was any evening of awfulness that ended in crushing defeat at Rut'theran Village. The only way I could ...

Re: Petopians EU: Bunny Run!

Thanks, Safrienar :)

I wonder how long we have to do this achievement ... is there any chance Saturo will be back before it ends? I might have my act together in time for a later run. (I haven't begun the seasonal effort yet, so I wouldn't want to delay the run for me alone.)

Re: Petopians EU: Bunny Run!

I really feel like a slacker now. Brit is still only in her 20s, so no Un'Goro for her this year. Curse that ultra-sexy sylvian rogue on Wildhammer: he's demanding too much attention. (I suppose I owe it to him after making him a bank-runner for four years.) Edit: Yes, we all play on Bloodhoof, Nakr...

Re: Cataclysm Preview: Aquariums! - on El's Extreme Anglin'

That's odd... I've never had any problem on El's, and I've pretty much frequented the site since it's inception. Ah well, that's Linux for ye'... Wish I could handle Linux, but I'm fairly computer-impaired. I view my move to Firefox as progressive ;) Anyhoo, I looked at my Avast file and the virus ...

Careful as you go, guys. I've been to El's twice in the last week and my virus software snagged a nasty both times.

Sadly, this isn't an April's Fool joke.

Thank goodness its the ranged weapon that shows. Nothing looks more pathetic than Artume's Whalestick Harpoon. World's biggest dental pick, and it doesn't even sit naturally when sheathed.

Re: i need a mythical name for my warp stalker

A mythical name for a warpstalker is a really tough challenge. The concept of warping wasn't big during the period of classical mythology: most gods or monsters would polymorph into something different, if they weren't already an amalgam of beasts/humans. A warpstalker doesn't really change: it just...

Re: A Pirate's Parrot

“Oh, great. He so convinced that I’m just a smear of Thimbleberry jam waiting to happen that he’s mocking me.” Suddenly, with an ear-splitting screech, Pining flew like a crossbow bolt toward the oncoming knight. Artume fairly threw the spy glass in her haste to grab and shoulder the Nesingwary. Whe...

Re: A Pirate's Parrot

Pushing the pirate hat to the back of her head, Artume goaded her mount with her heels, determined to keep distance from the rider until she could better see its shape. Glancing back, the cold in her heart was made to streak like ice-water through every vein. Only a Tauren could throw up a silhouett...

A Pirate's Parrot

... So ... I had a little poke at writing a story about Artume this evening, and I really don't know how to end it. I mean, it has an end, but it needs a little something. If you make it through, I'd be glad to hear/read any suggestions :) ************************************************************...

Re: Gamestop and special exclusive mount offers for Cata?

Wouldnt they put the exclusive mount in the Collectors editon? like they did with frosty Etc that would make more sence. Would suck for peeple like me who dont live in the Usa This makes sense to me, too. It would be a nice change for the Collector's Edition freebie to be a mount rather than yet an...

Re: Guess who I found~

I love that pic, Harpier! I once named a pet Agrotera, after Artemis Agrotera. I liked how the term "aggro" was kind of implied, and the sound of "terror" at the end. In your case, it kind of resonates with the original name of Araga. (Well, sort of. ) Edit: I forgot to men...
