Ya. I just have personally never seen a rare up when the servers have come back online. And if I recall, I haven't seen any until their minimum spawn time has been met.

I.e servers come up at 2pm. Skarr can't spawn until at least 4pm. Deth can't until at least 8pm etc.

So I have always wondered how exactly this works and if anyone has personally seen either of these happen. Scenario 1: You are camping Skarr. A 2-10 hour respawn with karkin. Only thing I can think of is, you let his energy get to zero. He dies once he's out of energy

You can tame once he reaches 50 which is a long time to get the tame off.

I thought they only had 2 spots as well.

I don't know what happened with npcscan (been using it since wotlk). But I don't remember it going off with the loud booming music if it was a tamed pet. Now it goes off for anything.

It is quite annoying I agree. But I still clear my cache often.

Best bet may be to either check real early in the morning if you can (3-7am). Especially if you can't sit there and camp it for many hours.

I hardly see anyone in storm peaks anymore. Just check the same times every day and in theory he should be there eventually

They said that taming has nothing to do with being tagged like said above.

Pretty stupid.

I also lost Solix and Skitter today because people killed them while I was kiting. An amazing way to start the day.

Yes he got more aggro than me. I had to FD once for her to eat my pet instead of me.

The point is though. Why is someone else able to tame a gray mob that is tagged to someone else? I didn't realize this was even possible.

I'm almost 100% sure you can't do that with any of the older rares.
