Re: Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta General Thread
Not to burst your bubble, but they'd have to make it completely compatible with armor sets and mounts. Which is never going to happen.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
This becomes a bit more difficult when you have a bunch of glitched tames that you want to keep but that you don't have a particular bond with. The oil wolf, fear tarantula, crab with a glass of alcohol and multiple others. I own them, and I would like to be able to keep them, but they currently ta...

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
To be honest, I think 55 slots is plenty. Whenever I actually start playing again, I will have to clear out about 20 new spots for the creatures of Legion and BFA, and that's OK by me. Unlike mounts or minipets, I don't think hunter pets should be treated as collectible items. They're supposed to be...

There's at least one other hyena variant, which happens to be less vibrant, more "realistic", and my personal favorite of the bunch.

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
New Hippos are definitely going to be in the Riverbeast family. Funny how they still use the tail thwack animation despite not having a proper tail. Just looks like they're giving the enemy a good ol' butt thwack. I would hope that the pterrorwings are a given, considering the nature of the expansio...

Here's the critters I didn't see anyone mention yet: There's a nice rocklizard texture variant. https://i.imgur.com/rBBol1O.png As well as a Gila monster appearance! https://i.imgur.com/3NY2dFr.png I cannot wait for these lizards. They have so much personality in their animations. Just look at this ...

All these updates are both extraordinary and troubling at the same time. Now even the clunkiest old models are getting updates, and there will hardly be room in my stable for all of them!

Re: A Hunter's Pet is More Than Just a Pet
Considering all the cool new critters we seem to be getting in the next expansion, I don't think they've forgotten. I would like pet abilities back, though. Fingers crossed for that (and pterrorwings!)Tooth wrote:I wish Blizzard originally remembered that was the main reason, the pets.

Careful; while this is true, some naysayers may throw out a dumb argument like "That's just male power fantasy" or whatever. Archimonde http://media-azeroth.cursecdn.com/attachments/82/157/635691106722044809.jpg Doomguard http://i.imgur.com/5LFI70n.png Felguard https://wow.gamepedia.com/m...

Re: Battle for Azeroth creatures
Astounding. I take a break from WoW with Legion and return to find the following: - Amazing flying-ray and otter-thing tamables in 7.3 - New Tarantula, Hyena, and Crab models - At least three new types of dinosaurs, potentially tamable Skyscreamers - Giant lizards - Hippos - Spiny isopods - Giant pa...

The only way most people would be willing to test if temporary effects remain temporary is on PTR servers.

Re: New Mounts
I just realized something. WoD was the only expansion without proper dragon mounts. In BC, we had the Netherdrakes. Wrath, the Proto-Drakes and regular drakes. Cata, the Wind drakes, Rock drakes, and Alexstrasza drakes. MoP, the cloud serpents. And now in Legion, we're back with the storm drakes. No...

I'm very glad these will be tamable for those who would like them! However, I still think these are pretty unattractive and just bizarrely designed. When you think of a feathered raptor, rather than a Jurassic Park-style raptor, what comes to mind? http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maafb3FN7Z1r38ji3...

Re: My Hati is an undead now
So far, the only people I see a acting offended and throwing a tantrum are those telling others to stop. Agreed. Acting as if turning your pet into a skeleton or a murloc for a few days before this is inevitably patched is not "stealing from the cookie jar". Nor is it "throwing a tan...

Re: My Hati is an undead now
I disagree. There's no way they will outright remove the essence swapper, as that will result in outrage. I would recommend enjoying this bug/"feature" for as long as it lasts, as it will inevitably be removed. What are they going to do, slap you on the wrist for turning Hati into a murloc...

Well, I got sandreavers, mushan, and shoveltusks this expansion, so I can hardly complain.
But new hyena, tallstrider, and tarantula models would be very much appreciated.

Re: Did the food requirement for pets change?
Our pets just figure now that we're all big shot commanders with our own artifacts, the least we can do is give them a gourmet meal once in a while.
