Re: A ..healing question, not hunter question?? What is this
I was also going to suggest a Druid. I have (at varying levels) a healing pally, a disc priest, a cat/resto druid. My monk and shaman are way low level so can't really draw from experience on them. I like my holy pally and I love my disc priest, but they are two very different play styles and heal s...

I got Troll'ed! (Thanks, Skraal!)
Wanted to share a cool story with y'all. I left WoW for a while during Cata and came back a few months ago. I've hunted rares and experienced the joy of Patch Day before, so I knew 5.2 release would likely have some glitches and what-not. Regardless, I was determined to get me that Dinomancy book an...

Fainting Direhorns?
Anyone else seeing this happening? My pet is *not* dead and it slumps over, like it is fainting, then pops back up and continues fighting. I can't remember if it's happening on Portent or my Devilsaur right now but wanted to see if anyone else has seen this...

Re: Best Uses for Devilsaur.
I <3 my devilsaur. I like running around with him in Stormwind. I usually get a few people stopping to check out the large, albino dino. He's GREAT in dungeons. And Bestial Wrath + Dino = Awesome. I've taken him once or twice into PvP situations, when I was mucking around with BM to see if I wanted ...

Re: bm pve /pvp
I'm not entirely sure I follow what you're saying here. I agree that as BM, we do focus a lot on our pets. I spent a solid week (and lots of time outside that week) hunting Gondria. Whenever I get a tell or a comment about her, I grin like a proud momma. Same goes with the white devilsaur. Not as di...

Re: When did this happen?
Snake trap does have it's uses, mainly against bosses that have an attack that hits a random target. Having snakes, army of the dead, treants and such up at those times is really useful. I doubt any sane individual would use it in PvP tough. It's just a waste of mana. I'm not sane. Snake trap + Cas...

Re: Raid Pets?
I'm not a huge fan of any of the wolf models either (Skoll is an exception, he is a Spirit Beast not a wolf :P ) but I researched on Petopia and found one that I could tolerate, when I dualspecced to BM/MM. I wanted the best pet to compliment the MM spec. I didn't expect to like it much, since the w...

Re: GhostCrawler on BeastMastery
Well, he could simply mean that BECAUSE the MM hunters are the ones with the gear...? One thing to take heart in all of this: Blizzard knows about the discrepancy and is interested in fixing it, even if it's a baby step like this. Second thing to take heart in all of this: November is not that far o...

Re: GhostCraweler on BeastMastery
I'm pretty sick of the way people rudely respond on other boards when someone asks a BM question. Too many "first of all, drop BM and go MM" or "you need a wolf". I understand that a wolf is the best b/c of it's Furious Howl. I HAVE a wolf in the stable. But I don't always use Sk...

Re: Leatherworking profitable?
My Hunter is Skinning/Leatherworking. It's not really hugely profitable from a "casual" standpoint. My husband can sell a Titansteel bar for roughly 100g every day and it's essentially guaranteed to sell. I think that it's probably easier to find that highlevel LW in your guild or just som...

Re: Magnakilro's Guide to the Time-Lost Proto Drake
Is it just me, or did anyone else have a small heart clench when reading the words "step 4d: if Skoll or Dirkee dead or alive, kill or ignore...they are not important here"... I know he drops loot and he's a rare spawn, but there's no achievement and a bunch of us are hunters. Let's not ki...

Blargh! Still no sightings of the blue doggie. Our guild was talking in Vent. My friend was saying "Hey, there's this big blue dog here with lightning, you should get him..." If only it were that easy. I forget how many people have no idea what the Spirit Beasts are or how difficult they c...

Re: Spirit Beasts... Lore?
I was also sad there was no lore for our beloved Spirit Beasts. I had an idea for a story but I haven't written it down. Basically, with the exclusion of Loque, as he has some backstory already, I was going to write about a Hunter that roamed the lands long ago and used a bear, wolf and cat. A legen...

Attack Power Magic Numbers?
Okay, so I've been trying to find the answer. But as we all know, sometimes when you look really hard for something, it can be right in front of your face and you don't find it. So, is there a number that a level 80 Beastmaster should be "aiming" for (haha) when it comes to Attack Power? W...

Re: Pet Health Issues?
I know I wasn't "in combat". I paid to fly to the tournament (therefore no aggro grabbing there) and as soon as I landed, hopped on my griffin (can't mount in combat) and flew immediately to the alliance tent. My portrait turns red if I have aggro (I use Spartan UI) so there had been no ag...

Pet Health Issues?
I know that typically when you dismount, your pet's health goes way down then skips up to full. It's annoying - especially in PVP situations - but expected right now. Is anyone noticing this getting exaggerated lately? I spent a lot of time out of combat, in the auction house, cooking, in Dalaran. T...
