In the wild, it is possible to clear the buff off a sha goat. I had a lot of mishaps while taming them for others where the buff would clear and we'd just have to kill it off and pull another. There were a great many of us that posted our battletags here and tirelessly helped people tame. Kudos to all of you that helped, I know I was swamped for at least the first week.

I'm sorry that not everyone got their pets, but I know we ALL tried hard to make it happen.

For me, about 1 in 30 successes result in a pet with no buff. I had it happen twice in a row at one point.

I can't test for a while because I have raid, but if you only failed once, then stopped, it's worth checking out a few more tames.

I can't remember if I saw anyone try here, but any of the sleeping cats with zzzs above their heads only keep them for about a half second after the first summon. I'm sure it would have been a fragile buff anyway, but thought I'd give it a go.

Okay, apparently I was just magically lucky and always trapped the leader of the goat pack. If you trap any of the others, they don't stop. The leader isn't always the one in front though...

I'm not really "getting around" the issue, I'm just helping with opposing faction characters for the boar. Find a friend and flag up! There's no difference between flagging and dueling as far as this taming method goes.

I've helped several people out with boars in the last few days, absolutely possible.

I've done 0 quests in Jade Forest on my hunter, cranes definitely show up.

Since the Klaxxi augmentation is only available as a buff in Dread Wastes, I imagine so... but the person I tamed this for didn't have it out in another zone so I can't tell you for sure.

No, no, no. The mobs get a buff called Seek and Destroy that gives the person killing it a stat boost. This person must 1) be in Dread Wastes and 2) also have a buff called Seek and Destroy with an entirely different spell ID. This won't work ANYWHERE else, and the stat boost doesn't ever, ever affe...

This buff doesn't buff the pet. If you were to kill wildlife with this buff in Dread Wastes you'd get stats after it died, but the pet itself is safe and harmless.

But yeah, this is still possible, quite a few tames successful today.

I've asked most people that I help to use the glyph, makes the timing much easier (on my end). So I'm 100% sure that's not it.

I definitely helped two people today, so we're still good to go.

There have been successful tames today. That's something that can normally happen, usually when you get two bodies briefly (the mob, and the pet).

The moths don't keep the aura, tested that one.
