Wain, I am not trying to sound bitchy, but you're making it sound like "If its marked a beast, its automatically tameable." which is not the case at all.

Blizzard designed Stampede to be used as a last resort frenzy tactic. Remember the word Frenzy. Ok, so when you're getting attacked or about to get attacked, the pets are supposed to rush on scene and pick the attacker apart before they pick you apart. Very soloable, pull one at a time with tenacity pet and keep mending pet up, then as they cast their heal just silencing shot them. At 1000k health, fall back once they transform and burst. Remember, Mend Pet and Silencing Shot (or an interrupt in general) is A MUST!

No, class-specific tiers are actively class-specific even on transmog. Though I have not seen a class-specific weapon, so yes, you may transmog weapons from old raids. also, I saw something above about a example of gear materials allowed and can confirm that a transmog item must be the same material...
