Re: Feather and the Egg
How hard is it for Ally to get to the raptor's spot? That'll depend mostly on server population and whether the local Horde players feel like being jerks. I've not tamed him on an Alliance hunter, but the friends I've talked to who have said the toughest part was just getting into the city without ...

I think BM makes him look grumpy, as if he's not thrilled about being so tiny:Bulletdance wrote:omg priceless

Re: Bufo Tame , Timeless Island
Having only tamed Bufo, I can't say whether he shrinks more than other frogs/toads, but dang if he aint tiny. He's even a little smaller than the toad battlepet:

Re: Hati shall never be forgotten
I was never terribly fond of the 2 pet mechanic, and Hati could be darned annoying, especially early on in the expansion. Even so, I have to admit it makes me a little sad to see Hati just vanish without some sort of 'goodbye' cutscene or quest. I'd hoped we'd get at least something to let us know H...

That's great! Now I don't have to worry about who to release back into the wild to make room for a bee/lizard/etc!

Hmm. Aside from the loading screen, that looks like a typical WoW flight path.Slapperfish wrote:Go home loading screen, you're drunk.

And said unexpected surprise was Lunaire stumbling upon the King of the Basin himself. While I was questing this morning, I had that feeling that one of the Sholazar rares would be up, but I wasn't sure who until I happened to see a bright green dino butt near the Glimmering Pillar. I managed to ta...

How odd
I posted a couple screenshots of a (not particularly spectacular) tame yesterday morning but it seems to have disappeared. I hope it wasn't filtered out for some reason.

Re: Alpha ingame screenshots
There is a portal back in the main faction hub that goes back to EK and Kalimdor. The Horde has a whole room filled with portals just across from where you choose where you want to quest. Figures it'd be somewhere obvious. I was so eager to go out and look at beasts and try hunter'ing that I prolly...

Re: Alpha ingame screenshots
I went through the eleventy bazillion screenshots I've taken so far and tried to break them down into 3 categories: tameable beasts, untameable beasts, and everything else. I dumped a bunch of that latter category into an album on imgur: https://imgur.com/a/5ZGeY There's nothing spoilery in there. I...

Re: Members with access to Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta
When I first saw one, I knew I had to find one that could be tamed. They occasionally do a tongue flick that I finally managed to capture in a screenshot.
EDIT: Looks like he's a Zandalari Leguaan. I like Saurolisk better, myself.

Re: Members with access to Battle for Azeroth Alpha/Beta
I'm in as well now. Ironically, I have not played actively for about a year. I am trying out the alpha though. :) Who can fathom their selection algorithm? :/ Congrats, anyway :) A bnet friend of mine as well as a guildie also got into the alpha and I suspect it's because all of us have been playin...

Re: Alpha ingame screenshots
Interesting. When I was beast lore'ing everything in sight, I'd swear those ravasaurs were untameable. The only beast I've encountered in my poking around, that I could tame, was a wasp.

I'd hoped to tame one of the confused spider scorpids down in Silithus, but Hunter #2 hasn't even set foot in a raid yet this expansion, so she only sees 'old' Silithus. So I went out and tamed the new panthera skin instead: https://i.imgur.com/F3eyysb.jpg I'm trying to think of a floral name, since...

Re: So I now have a hunter named Jack.....
If you want to get a bit obscure, you could go with 'Stiles' in a reference to Jack Stiles; a character Bruce Campbell played in a very short-lived tv series.
In a more cheesy vein, there's always 'Monterey.'

Re: Panthara problems
Is it still affected if trinkets proc? I recall some theorizing early on that that was messing up some tames. The two times I've been successful at taming panthara, I made sure to remove my trinkets, just to be safe.

Yeah, back when I was PvP'ing in organized groups, I had the train wrecker on one of my action bars, just to stop that annoying train set while in the AV entrance cave.Wain wrote:I’m fine with this change, though to be honest the train set was the only one I seriously hated.

Congratulations!
I've yet to try any of the mage tower challenges. I suppose I should on my hunter, at least, since he's got some okay gear. I just wonder how tough it is for BM.

Re: Small Pet Peeve of Mine, what's yours?
Riders of Rohan has been around on AD for a while now. To this day, I still confuse it with the old Riders of Redrige guild from back in Vanilla. Riders of Redridge was made up pretty much entirely of people working for some gold-farming company. It wasn't uncommon to see member characters botting i...
