Once you complete the quest, go back and talk to him some time. He says something like "You killed Ghost Howl! You're a stud!"Vephriel wrote:Haha, I love that NPC. ^^ If you kill Ghosthowl and complete the quest with him you can get Skorn's Rifle (which I keep in my bank). x)

Re: "Awesome pet name dude!"
I remember whispering a hunter once, his pet was named VashtaNerada after a species of creatures from the series Doctor Who. Being a fan of course I had to compliment him on his choice of pet name. Taming a rhino is still on my list. I plan upon naming it Judoon. Perfect! I just need to remember to...

Re: "Awesome pet name dude!"
I still get some comments about my demon-dog wolf named Cat. Back in TBC, I raided with my raptor, Sparky. When WotLK came out and I was starting into raiding, cats were kinda the way to go, so I reluctantly went and tamed one. I don't dislike cats, but I preferred my raptor. In a bit of passive-agg...

Hard to tell with the human model it's on, but I strongly suspect that I'll still have 'display helm' turned off on my Tauren hunter.

Re: Scare Beast
Yeah. I didn't remember seeing it in patch notes, but noticed it recently in a battleground. It's a load of fun, really. There was a feral druid in WSG last night who was obviously royally ticked off at me for chain fearing him to death multiple times. He seemed to make it a point to come after me f...

Re: Is it really luck?
I think that with the introduction of the loot pumpkin, Blizz upped the drop rate of all the items. I've always been suspicious of RNG. I don't know what seeds it, but I'd almost swear it's character-based. My warrior has always had horrible luck with it. I once kept track of his rolls for loot over...

Re: Best place to level a new pet @ 80
Dungeons do seem to be the fastest way. While waiting in queue, I'll head up to the Tournament and kill the cultists. With the dailies, that also brings in a little cash. If there are a lot of folk up there, I'll head down and go after the Converted Heroes. They seem to drop fewer random greens than...

Re: I need raptor help!
I'll add my voice to the votes for green. Even though I tamed Takk again last week (I was riding by checking for some pesky Alliance in the Barrens and there he was. I tamed him for nostalgia sake) I do prefer the green ones. When it comes to Outland/ZD spiky raptors, I really do like the black ones...

Re: Bug (or not) - get a good weapon now!
They fixed it I think. I cant buy it cause I dont have the rating I haven't looked since Saturday evening, but as of that time you could still get them. Now the shoulders and the weapons that required the highest rating *do/did* still require rating. The rest of the weapons and Wrathful set could b...

Re: Thoughts On Volley Removal - Survey
I'm not overly upset about losing volley, though it does have some utility. Personally, I'll miss the misdirect+volley pulls we use when clearing trash in raids. I'll also miss being able to use it in PvP when trying to flush out a rogue or druid and a flare can't cover the whole area in question.

I failed to get the pet. I did get the scythe. Yay hunter loot.
Of course, my warlock alt who could've gotten some use out of the scythe got nothin. I hate the RNG.

Re: New animal in Mulgore?!?! [CATA SPOILER]
With the fence there and all, my first thought when I saw that pic was that it was just a farm, especially with the Tauren tents so close by. Still, them being 'upgraded' battle boars belonging to the Quillboar would also make sense. As for a big gate at the entrance to Mulgore, it'd just be a sensi...

Dino fight!
A friend showed me this image yesterday from a site that does tshirts. While it's officially a 'dinosaur slap fight,' I just couldn't help thinking of two BM hunter pets duking it out:

Re: Those WoW sounds you love
Hearing you all speak of the music, I'll have to give a proper listen. I usually play with the music off as the music in FF 11 kinda put me off. The music in WoW is absolutely one of my favourite aspects. I know a lot of people play with the sound off, or have their own music, but I always play the...

At least fel reavers roar, and stomp stomp, and shake the screen. Ninjasaurs, however... Both are amazingly good at sneaking up on you. As I was reminded last night while leveling my warlock, the reavers don't always shake the screen. Last week in Un'Goro.... Me: *humming softly to himself* La la l...

Yes, they do, though you'll see something like "Taigi's cat Crescent purrs" instead of just "Crescent purrs." However, I think you need to have petEmote itself to see them? I'm not sure on that part. I've been able to see other peoples' emotes even when I'm not on my hunter, but...

Re: Gunslingers / Ranged Wpn
The gun he's holding is the Widebarrel Flintlock from 10 man Trial of the Crusader or at least a gun that uses the same model. My hunter is still lugging that around. 'Course on a Tauren, it looks even more like a cannon chained to a plank. I'm guessing that's the 'ranged idle' posture that Goblins ...

Re: Your favorite zone?
Though it's a close, Mulgore manages to beat out a couple others for my favorite zones. I like the open prarie-ness of it. Since most of my characters are Tauren, it also holds a bit of nostalgia for me. Second would probably be Grizzly Hills. It seems like the kind of place a Tauren could retire to...

Re: barking
I also have the barking prairie wolf. It's really cute! I once had Arikara, a wind serpent that's spawned for a Horde quest. When she's summoned for the quest she appears in puff of smoke and she used to keep this summoning animation after taming. Also, you know how, when you spawn somewhere (e.g. ...
