I watched the news some odd days or maybe a week ago (time has been weird to me lately) that Anonymous was taking to the streets and that they had shut down a security center on christmas or something and stole a million dollars to donate to charity. Im sure that this bill has sparked an even bigger response from them which resulted in what you mentioned Adam with the shutting down of major government sites

Megaupload was shut down today, which is mainly what provoked Anonymous to act out in revenge.

Russian news service RT claims this is the largest coordinated attack in Anonymous’ history — over 5600 DDoS zealots blasting at once.

Anonymous while having some good points of view and interesting way of getting heard...almost always go to far. And it upsets me.

I think they would be taken more seriously if they didn't go after people at a personal level. Going after peoples SSN/CC info/Names of family members/children etc = not okay.

Yah I agree with that. Making that stuff public is going way to far and uncalled for.

except, in the final analysis, it is NOT the "american government" that is doing this.

it is private industry that OWNS the government that is doing it.
