dangit, I tried one last time this morning on ZG, no mount, no turtle tome (i did get the epic Nat Pagle's beating stick though). I guess thats a plus...

I'm excited for my new Ancient Sea Turtle though. Thats pretty neat, or the foxes possibly.

What's in Patch 4.0.3a
Sammew posted an interesting list of the features you should and should not expect in Patch 4.0.3a on the official forums. Zarhym also jumped in, and announced a 20% reduction to the XP required to gain levels from 71 to 80.

What is not in:
Creating worgen/goblin characters
Worgen/Goblin start zones
Archeology
Professions past 450 (Illustrious Grand Master)
Guild leveling
Guild achievements
Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor flight
New Zones (80+)

What is in:
Portals in Dalaran/Shattrath Removed
Class trainers in Dalaran where portals once were
New race-class combinations (excluding worgen/goblin)
New Gnome/Troll starting areas
Changes to existing zones
New cata load screens
New cata intro cinematic
New cata login screen
New music
City Quartermasters, with rep tabards
Bug fixes
Class balancing
Druids, paladins, priests, and shaman will have their talent trees reset
Experience required to gain levels 71 through 80 is being reduced by 20%
New tamable hunter pets (Monkey, fox, dog, and beetle, as well as new skins for existing pet classes.)

Heh one more post. This is going to suck for 2 weeks not being able to FLY in Azeroth, but yet no portals from Dalaran anymore. Might as well get ready to spam for ports more often

That's what I keep asking myself. The answer they gave not a good one. I can only hope if the players make a big enough stink about it then they will bring them back. Alot of alts are in dal or shat because it's easier to get from one part of the world to the next.

Because with them putting trainers and AH in shatt/dal the portals aren't really needed anymore. This also entices the mage business.

Chrizesu and Erwil answered it. The portals won't be necessary for leveling through the content and the trainers will be readily accessible right there. (Think of it - how often do you really use the Shattrath portals now?)

Aww, I don't have enough time for another ZG run on my main before it's gone for good. Oh well, I guess I could get in one more mount run on mine and my bf's main alts. At least I have the raptor on my main. I really wanted the tiger though.

Besides that, I'm looking forward to the changes. My biggest decision is going to be desiding which server to put my Undead Hunter on. I have room on Alterac, and then my alts can send her stuff, like money, but another Petopian wouldn't be bad either. I was going to make my Troll Druid on Nesingwary too ...

Decisions decisions.

The boats and zeppelins got moved more inside the cities for a reason; it's not THAT big a deal, honestly. Plus we don't want mages to become redundant!

Also, here are the hunter notes:

All special attacks based on weapon damage (except Scattershot) are now normalized.
Scare Beast is now available at level 36, up from level 14, and has had its training cost updated.
Deterrence is now available at level 78, up from level 36, and has had its training cost updated.
Disengage is now available at level 14, down from level 78, and has had its training cost updated.

Glyphs
The level requirements for glyphs that affect Scare Beast, Deterrence, and Disengage have been altered to correspond with the level changes of these abilities.

Bug Fixes
The Core Hound pet ability Ancient Hysteria now places its own unique debuff on affected players that has the same effect as Sated and Exhaustion.
Certain pets should no longer forget how to Dash.


GOOD NEWS that disengage dropped again. Deterrence is amazing, but I'm glad to see this swap.

Edit to add other stuff I missed. THE DASH BUG IS GETTING FIXED, YAY! :D And hooray for puppy lust fixes too!

They're getting moved into the cities now? IE Org's zeps going to be by the tower? (i havent had a chance to look at any new changes)

I'm surprised there wasn't an Aspect of the Cheetah level drop as well...it's in such a bizarre place right now since you don't get it until after you have a mount...and it was always that ability that was a great help to get before acquiring a mount, after that it's use is more limited.

Yeah, the zep tower is inside Org now. The FP is near there and is closer to the main gate now, I think. I was very disoriented. >_<

Found the new ancient hysteria debuff! It's Insanity. It still doesn't apply to the pet, though (as it shouldn't). Will have to check after the patch at some point, I think, to see if the debuff on pets was removed from bloodlust/heroism.
