So while browsing YouTube within the past few days, I've come across some fun videos like
Anachronos Kite to Orgrimmar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGvQUhll ... re=related
and
Shandris Feathermoon vs Orgrimmar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xioBDJtrJyg
These both involve kiting massively powerful bosses to a major city and watching them wreak havoc.

While those major bugs have been patched, of course, I've found that there are at least two different creatures that can still be kited...

Part 1: The Funny
Image
Deadwind Widow

Gray, spindly, and vicious, these creepy crawlies descend upon unaware travelers wishing to cross through Deadwind Pass. But who would expect these little beasts to show up in...
the auction house?

A simple little leading the spiders over some rocks and then flying up briefly, and they'll faithfully follow you across the entire Eastern Kingdoms, without harming you a bit.
Oh yes. And you can get more than one, too.
Image
3 widows + matching pet + companion = spider frenzy!

It's hilarious watching dozens of people try to kill it, to no avail. They evade all attacks but hunters' explosive traps, and make the guards grunt in aggro-frustration, but other than that, they don't do any harm. That can't be said for the next one...

Part 2: The Deadly
Image
Twilight Wyrmkiller

Usually locked in a neverending battle with the red dragonflight, with a little persuasion these dragons can be led very, very far away.
The best part? The dragons occasionally stop and breathe fire in an AoE cone, affecting friendly NPCs and players alike!

On my first try, the farthest I got with three drakes was Dun Morogh, before some pesky guards killed two of them. The third, who escaped without harm (and became known as Buster) had a kill-count of 5 curious lowbies (including an accident with a guildie who wanted to see) before three level 85 guards brought him down.

With a coordinated team of some healers and those with flying mounts (the dragons dismounted me, so I couldn't lead them through the air anymore), it's possible to bring these guys into major cities. In fact, there's a video of that, too.
Level 84 Dragons Kited to Goldshire

When there are more people active, I'm going to get a group and see how far we can take those dragons.
Share your funny kiting stories and experiences here.

Heee, I've heard of the spiders, but not the dragons! I have a feeling I'll try kiting both of them some time when I'm bored. xD

I just went to Deathwind and brought the one spider that works back to SW Dwarven District. It was so cute. Then I logged over to my other druid to help my friend get one, but we couldn't get it to work. I logged back, and my spider was still there. then, a mage came, and killed it. That made me sad. Silly pixels and bug and all that :-p My poor spider :-/ But thanks for making me try Equeon :)

Update!

So I got a few friends and we managed to bring two dragons to Goldshire, on separate occasions. Unfortunately, my friends were not quite as skilled at dragon-wrangling and we lost two more along the way, and four dragons would've made quite the spectacle. The first one managed to kill at least 3 people who were right near the edge of the town, but after killing one on the fence a guard spawned and killed it.

We also brought two dragons to Undercity...

After killing those who were AFK in the courtyard, we used the sewer pipe to bring it inside. While we didn't kill any players after that, it sure was fun killing loads of guards with the help of a twilight drake.

And now, presenting... part 3...

Part 3: The Destructive
Image
Prince Lakma
<The Last Chimaerok>

The last of his kind, Prince Lakma is a mighty yet reclusive fellow, hiding in the mountains between Feralas and Silithus. But perhaps his reclusive nature is what saved him from the tidal wave that wiped out his brethren. The sight of this massive beast drifting through the underbrush is surely a majestic sight. So of course we humiliate him by trying to drag him to Orgrimmar. With nearly 4.2m health and several aoe lightning attacks, plus a lightning shield, he's probably the only candidate for massively destructive kiting.

Ironically, several hordies decided to help us in our quest to rain destruction upon Orgrimmar.
On the second try, we got as far as the border between Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale before the one he was aggroed got a little too far away, and he evade-bugged and reset. I am determined to get this to work though, just like I was with the dragon-wrangling.

I kited Omen to Orgrimmar once. Way too long to get him there but he did kill a lot of lowbies before he was killed off. Sadly, him and most of the other deadly mobs are leashed now. I kind of miss Teremus the Devourer almost daily trips to Stormwind. It was exciting.

My favorite boss to a city video is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtsFyq3WMXA

A few other mobs that I know can be kited long distances.
Deepmoss Webspinner Acts the same way as the Deadwind Widow, but the Kalimdor variety.
Venya Marthand Fixed now I believe so she cannot be mind controlled then hearthed. She doesn't any damage being level 10, but she cannot die.
Anvilrage Taskmaster Just need to aggro these guys and run. No keeping aggro with taunts/non-damaging debuffs. They just run with you all over Eastern Kingdoms and will kill low level NPCs/guards of your faction. Might be fixed by now.
Deathguard Phillip Still see him in Stormwind on occasion.

Aww, Venya was fixed? I was gonna level up my engineering as soon as I heard about that. I suppose you can still kite her to Stormwind... once you get past the level 90 guards.

That's some very nice tales, and images. :)
I've always thought it was awesome when someone kited, and I never really figured out how to do it.

The other day I saw someone that had kited a lot of the swine outside Orgrimmar into the city, and running around with them behind her. :P
