I dont know guys but when you go to the official site of Cataclysm the goblin is holding a small gun like weapon. Could this be a weapon that can be dual wield? With the goblins in the horde as excelent engineers that they are i cant think of a reason they would not invent such a weapon.


And something else who wants ranged weapons to be shown on back?

The gun he's holding is the Widebarrel Flintlock from 10 man Trial of the Crusader or at least a gun that uses the same model. My hunter is still lugging that around. 'Course on a Tauren, it looks even more like a cannon chained to a plank.

I'm guessing that's the 'ranged idle' posture that Goblins will have and that it's not some sort of pistol.

While WoW and reality are two very separate things, it's important to remember that, contrary to what one sees in movies and on tv, firing guns with both hands pretty much results in you hitting absolutely nothing.

I wish we had pistols, not every awesome weapon has to be big! I mean, think about daggers? and Wands? It's time we had dual wield pistols.

Hehe, it would be pretty sweet. Bows become 2 handed ranged weapon, guns and crossbows become one handed ranged weapons...

As for hitting nothing at all with such bad accuracy, they could just give it the hit rating cap as a DK who dual wields. The DK needs 27% for their white melee damage to never miss. Only about 6% (ish) to hit with their special attacks though.

Well, they balanced dual wield melee weapons on warriors, rogues, deathknights and hunters. Why shouldn't they be able to do it on ranged weapons? With a new weapons skill called "hold-outs" you could have pistols and small crossbows.

But my mind just doens't compute mages dual wielding wands... No f++king way!
