Hilarity (BIG Image Warning)

So, I like Bergrisst, the npc from the NPC "band" Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftans. Back in WotLK, I made my own, ensuring he looked just like the NPC, and he was my PvP main (as fire) throughout WotLK. I loved the hell outta him. I just picked him back up yesterday, and he hit 85 today. I finished his transmog set (bar the belt), and popped over to Silvermoon and dropped him next to the NPC Bergrisst for a comparison screenshot.

So, as I was doing this, my Stalker addon popped. There was an ally in Silvermoon, somewhere; I looked around, only to realize she was RIGHT BENEATH ME, killing the L70ETC "band manager" npcs. I flagged myself and AoE'd below, and she backed up, took notice of me and began to casually DPS. I hit back, but not particularly hard yet.

I then Counterspelled her, and she called mirrors & ice-blocked, probably blinking and going "wait, what the hell?"

She then turned and began to go for a guard, probably thinking she was out of my range (assuming she still thought I was an NPC). Then, of course, I jumped right off my NPC platform and ran straight at her, casting and playing "right." She stood stock-still for a second, started hitting me again and then, realizing that the NPC was fighting back properly and winning, just tried to book it :lol:

I don't find it hilarious that I killed a mage (both our gears were crap), but rather from her perspective, that one of the supposedly friendly NPCs began to attack her, and then proceeded to jump down off the pedestal, CHASE her through Silvermoon, calling Mirrors and Iceblocking and Counterspelling properly before sending her on her way. I don't think I've laughed so hard in a good long time.

Talk about wrong place, wrong time!! :lol:

And how did you get up on the band's balcony? I've never tried. I just assumed there's no way up there from inside the building.

Well, back in the day you could wall-jump, and I'm stubborn.

You need Slowfall/Levitate--go out into Eversong, east of SMC, and you'll find a sort of stairway up to a platform with an orb. The orb teleports you to a slightly higher platform. You can then slowfall + mount, or mount jump + levitate, and land on a mountain, then run around a hill, then slowfall down onto an inner SMC wall. From there it's a straight run (you run along a purplish wall) to the Chieftains.

If you want more info I can grab some screenies of the route, or fraps it?

Oh that sounds neat! I wouldn't mind seeing screenies or frap if you feel inclined, it would be fun to run up on the SMC wall.
