WoW /Diablo anniversary

Unread post by zedxrgal »

I know there's supposed to be some big in game perk in WoW for the 20th anniversary of Diablo but what is it exactly and how does one obtain it??? I am trying to find information but I can't, partly because I am still at work.
Is this even worth logging into WoW for?
I already got the Hearthstone card back but haven't got into Starcraft or HotS either.

Is it worth doing? Only if you collect toys or achieves.

1 toy comes from killing the Cow King, which can be reached via a portal at the end of a dungeon, if you kill the Treasure Goblin that spawns, or if you find a Treasure Goblin portal out in the world.

A 2nd toy comes from killing and looting multiple Treasure Goblins. The Dalaran underbelly spawns them every 3-10 minutes.

Correct, Cow King is a one time only thing per character.

Treasure Goblins can be killed endlessly but they also "escape" rather quickly so it's best to attack them in a group.

The portal to the Cow King isn't necessarily at the end of a dungeon. It appears after almost every Treasure Goblin kill. Had a few where it bugged. Sticking to the Dal. Sewers is easiest :)

"End of dungeon" is just Blizz's recommendation since I think the intent was it's guaranteed to spawn one (it actually doesn't, I saw a Treasure Goblin in first 2 dungeons I did this week on my main and none after, even though I didn't take the portal. I ended up stupidly taking an alt through a dungeon just to open a portal as I didn't know about the world spawn pts and sewer spawns).

Sewers is definitely the fastest option and since most folks are there to do this, there was surprisingly little ganking going on. I didn't get killed once even while running in during "PVP time."

Event ends this Monday so get on it!

The Diabolic Cows aren't "accidentally" tameable? Come on blizzard or someone on blizz, I sure hope the cows aren't accidentally tameable when fighting the cow king.

Aren't the cows demons? I don't think Taka was saying they are tameable, just joking about how it would be funny if they were :)

Diabolical cows are labeled as beasts strangely enough. However they are not tamable. A guild mate was on his hunter and checked.
I did misunderstand. Oh well
