Interest Poll for "Steam's Great Hide and Seek"
I'm trying to see if people would be interested in a Global Hide and Seek. Winner gets 10k gold, from my personal reserves.
Here are the rules as they stand (though they are subject to change, as I'm open to ideas):
* No tracking. This includes Mind Vision. (and this would be done purely on an honour system, being that I trust in the inherent goodness of my fellow guildies to not cheat)
* No nameplates enabled. (half the fun is wondering if that giant bear is cuddly or not )
* A set time limit of ten minutes would be alloted per zone. To keep things interesting, at the end of said time limit if I am not found, I'll move to another random Zone.
* Passenger mounts are permitted, but the reward would be split between both parties involved.
* The object is to find me, on my Shaman, Steampunk.
* The date of the Hide and Seek would be posted a month in advance to give people plenty of time to prepare for the event, including finishing their leveling.
* The whole point of this is to be challenging. It shouldn't be easy, nor fast, to find me. Afterall, the reward is substantial.
Please vote in the poll, and I welcome your suggestions!

Goodness! Sounds like fun, and I understand how it's not supposed to be easy, but it seems like you could very easily go on for hours, even days, without anyone finding you.

Only the current zone I'm in.Teigan wrote:Would we have any clues?
Any and every zone in the game would be applicable. I'd announce which zone I was in as I enter it.Litlemouse wrote:So which zones would this be in?
I thought about that, too. So I guess a full time limit for the event would have to be endorsed. Maybe an hour? maybe two? for the full event?Ryno wrote:Goodness! This is the sort of event I would be very interested in. I've been more scarce in-game of late (connectivity issues, free-time issues, emotional issues etc.), but given advanced warning I would certainly make an effort to avail myself to this endeavor.

I would suggest you try it out with a couple guildies on a small scale first. Get somebody to hide for you and you try to find them with the criteria you set so you can see how easy or hard it is.
