Hello everyone,

I have decided to create kind of journal, to keep track of my rares.
I have been introduced to WoW by my husband in August and am still in love with game :)

When I found out about rare hunter pets, I decided to give it a go, and try to tame some.
It was surprisingly easy for me, whenever I just came to the spawn spot, rare was there!
I had this luck with about 10 rares. Skoll, Arcturis, Ainamiss, King Mosh, Loque, Nuramoc.
With Cata rares it got a bit worse, but still managed to find and tame all spirit beasts, Molten Front rares within 5-6 days.
So now I have full stable, only rares. Decided I have to find similar "entertainment" to keep myself busy.

Then I found out about mounts.
Started with TLPD.
It took me around 10 days hardcore camping, 20hrs a day to find him.
It was nice thing, although very exhausting.
It's weird I haven't seen Vyra a single time...
Storm Peaks was cool experience, I have met few very nice people there, campers, with whom I'm still in touch.

One of them mentioned about farming Utgarde Pinnacle for a mount.
After I got TLPD I decided to to that, an on my 4th solo run - mount is mine :)

Now I can't really decide whether to hardcore camp Deepholm/Vashj'ir, fly around Uldum or farm old raids/dungeons.
Currently I'm checking all places, basically just teleporting between them - can't stick to one.
Found 3 fake Camel Figurines, and that's it.
Aeonaxx is very very tempting, but probably as hard as TLPD or even harder.
I've noticed Deepholm is always very crowded, and 3 campers are here as well.

So I will probably keep teleporting between those 2 places, and after I found Camel or PSD, I'll stick to the other zone.

So please keep your fingers crossed, hope this forum brings me handful of luck :)

Could someone also please explain how do you make such a cool pictures of yourselves with mounts/pets? I mean those poses :)

For the cool pictures: We use a program called WoW Model Viewer.

Hope this helps, and good luck~!

Welcome to the forums Gayia!

Congrats on ur TLPD and UP mount! :D

Tbh, I found Time Lost to be harder than Aeonaxx on my server, but these forums show that Aeonaxx can be a shy one when he wants to be ;)

I would personally go for the one that appeals to you the most, perhaps the sea horsey since you already have a shiney flying mount? :)

I also love the sound of NPC Scan, but it scares me half to death too lol!

The pretty images are made on WoW Model Viewer and image editing software - there is a signature and avatar thread on the forums where you can request one from those who have the skills :D

GL on your hunt, and keep us informed :D

Yes, there are some who do make pretty images here. I do, myself, but they don't come close to others on here like Serenith and Nili, who also have shops.

Nili makes some nice sigs, they have a nice style. ^.^

Oh, and I agree with Zhuge. You should go for Poseidus, he's pretteh, and you already have a shineh new flying mount. ;)

Welcome!

I don't know how on earth you can enjoy the sound of NPCscan! It likes to go off when I'm eating or drinking.. ¬_¬

If you're going to go for Aeonaxx, I'd suggest you be fully prepared for it! I think he's the hardest mount to go for so far, but that could be realm dependent to be honest. My server has a LOT of people in Uldum/Deepholm/Vashj'ir and even Storm Peaks, still. It's very hard to get anything rare unless it's early hours or late at night when there's very few people online.

Other than that, the whole Bloodseeker thing... he tends to make it very difficult for people with showing up and then vanishing a few seconds after. I'm not trying to put you off by the way  just giving you a heads up that it can be a very exhausting camp, especially if you found TLPD's to be that way. Very best of luck to you in your hunt for things!

Oh thanks guys for a warm welcome!
It's cool to know there are other people passionate about rares and pets in general.

I didn't put Bloodseeker in my NPC scan.
With TLPD and Vyra it totally didn't work for me, I mean I've spent there around 200h, and didn't see Vyra at all.
So I just don't want to have the bat in my NPC.
Don't know whether it's a good idea, but that's how I like it.

TLPD was a bit easier, because of not much competition. There were around 6-10 people during the day, but not on camp spots. They were flying circles around SP. In late night hours, 1-5am there was nobody most of the time.
In Deepholm during the day it is 20-30 people, and late at night 5-10. So it definitely will be harder.
During the weekend, I'll stick to Vashj'ir. I've read about Poseidus spawn timer, and maybe will get lucky :)

Today no Camels, no Aeonaxx, just Terborus and Jadefang (10000th time). I keep the bomb from daily quest, and everytime I see Jadefang, I whisper other hunters and help them get her.
Once just after I helped someone with her, went back to Stormwind, just to find Sewer Beast in canals. Thought this beast was no longer in game, so was veeeery happy to tame it :) Karma exists :)

I've downloaded the program you've said about, but it seems difficult. I will have a look later tonight, maybe I'll create some nice pictures.

Will keep you updated!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Aeonaxx!!

I still cannot believe it.
It was so different than with TLPD.
I camped TLPD so hard, stayed there during nights up to 5-6 in the morning. I just was starring for hours at the snow in Storm Peaks, I really enjoyed it.

With Aeonaxx it was so different. I didn't like Deepholm at all, it was too crowded, so many people around, spawn spots covered. I would just flew one circle around the castle, and port back to Stormwind. I just couldn't bring mmyself to camp there.
Today, 10.30 am, 26 people in Deepholm. I flew one circle, then went back to the temple, was just by the portal and was clicking on it, and then... bam! My favourite NPC drums go off - Aeonaxx!!
I figured it must have spawned on the North-East spot, as NPC picked it up. Quickly flew there, but no sign of Aeonaxx, couldn't target it. Well, I thought, someone just mounted it. At least I know he exists, never saw him before.
But then (spamming targeting macro) I targeted him. Looked around, and there he was, not mounted just outside the temple.
Mounted him, called my son and hubby and started fight.
Fight wasn't difficult, but long. I am BM hunter, so without my Ban'thalos or King Mosh it was weird.
I was basically spamming cobras and arcanes, and whenever small dragons came I two-shot them.
It took around I don't know, 4-6 minutes? Don't remember, as I couldn't believe what I was doing, seemed a bit like someone else was doing that.
Killing blow was exactly opposite entrance to the Temple, so many people came around and congratulated me, there was even 2 Hordes who cheered at me.

I am just so happy, I still can't believe. Didn't have a chance to play more today, will play in the evening, so maybe I'll get used to my new sweet mount.

It was so lucky day for me, I got my shoes and girdle to complete transmog set, and got Orb which disguises me as a Blood Elf - from Magister's terrace.

Now I'm planning to grind Magister's Terrace and Stratholme for mounts, and fly around Uldum to get a camel.
Weekends - I'll focus on Poseidus.

Told ya this forum is a lucky charm!

Grats!!! You should be incredibly grateful for how lucky you are. :) I've followed some of my friends' journals and they've been at it for weeks and months. I'm really happy for you, however...! Again, grats, and enjoy the Aeonaxx! :D

Mind rubbing some of that luck dust on me? Could really use it over here in Storm Peaks. *cough*

Thanx Feral!
I know, I thought I was "too lucky" today, just with few attempts, and not even camping Aeo.
But then I'm recalling all those nights last month spent in Storm Peaks, and I think I got him because of that.
I was just starring at the snow, for hours and hours.
Hours and hours. From 10am to 6am, not even going to Stormwind once, to check my mail. No bgs or instances. I was nearly asleep, and 3am I was drinking cup of cofee to stay up.

/rubs a lot of luck dust on Feralclaw.
I'm going to go to SP to camp TLPD again, on my husband's toon. Let's do it together :)

PS. And I'm gonna send you a small request for a signature, if you don't mind :)

I wish it lasted that long for me. I panicked and nuked the poor thing in less than 30 seconds. ; _ ;

I can imagine that's how I'd be. "Oh, amazing! I need to stop to enjoy this! - DIE DIE DIE DIE! GIFF ME MY DRAKE!"

Huge grats! So many happy stories on the Mount thread now. ^.^

OK, my I heard my beloved sound twice yesterday.

One time - TLPD for my husband. It was 3.00am, I decided to finish my camp, and fly one last circle. As soon as I left my spot, I saw TLPD coming. It took me 2 secs to kill it :)
After that I went to deepholm, to check if Aeonaxx was around. Nope, so I went to Vash'jr.
Few minutes after I killed TLPD - POSEIDUS is up. OMG, I couldn't believe. Targeted him, and killed so fast, then sent it to Gayia.

Gosh, I was so lucky, I couldn't believe. Mobus also was up, but none of my friends was online, and I didn't bother to look up for people to kill him.

Now - Camel figurines - here I come!!!
