Kor'kron Warwolf is defnitely not the REAL wolf!!!!

So....my boyfriend just pointed out something to me the other day. Just take a look at your Kor'kron Warwolf in your mount journal and then, mount up on it.
There is CLEARLY a different coloring to the one in the journal. He is darker. The one you ride is orange and brighter.
I've also tried going to "darker" place all around the world of Azeroth...but it's STILL the same thing. The one in the journal ISN'T the same wolfie! :O

I don't have the mount, but looking in WMV it does look like they just picked the wrong model to show in the preview. It seems there's 3 colours for the armor. None of them drastically different, but the preview seems to be showing the "Cool" colouration, and the actual mount is the "Warm" (as they're labelled). There's a third one called yellow that's sort of in between them, but these are the Cool and Warm respectively:

Interesting find! Even if you assumed that extreme zone effects made the armour look lighter, the purple neckerchief and red at the back of the bracers give it away.

Thanks for catching that as WCM is also wrong and I'm off to fix that right now

The mount isn't hard to get and I'm pretty sure you can pay (if I were you I would NEVER pay for a normal kill) 15k=20k on some servers.
You should go take a look on the WoW Forums if anything. If you're sure you won't get the mount before the next expansion hits, I suggest you buy it, considering it's the first wolf mount the Alliance can ride.

I wish I could find a guild that raids, I mean I used to raid and have almost all the raiding achievement mounts done in content, but sadly every raider on my server up and left, and I have no money for a transfer to a raiding server

There's a bug involving LFR where you can leave group at 1-3% and log off, then log back in with the achievement for normal mode 25man. Not sure if it still works.

Both those models are in SoO. I noticed that one is used for Bloodfang and the other for...whatever the other wolf's name is in the Shamans fight.

i wonder if blizz was meant to make the grey version for alliance and the gold for horde but forgot all about it? how they colour code mounts for factions red/blue ?

blizz still hasnt fixed the zhevra mount from raf - if you have it mount up and hit space bar, it does a rocking horse, stare at the legs doing that, its so awkward - it does the weird effect when its doing its little motion while standing also. - it used to do it normaly now its doing that stupid rocking horse again -_-

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but in Beta right now, it is using the darker color. I don't know which I prefer, but thought I'd bring it up... Can take a screenshot later if you guys want.

Don't know if its intentional, if it'll make it to live or what.. but there you have it. Wish we could have both, kinda odd to change it now, but I don't think the colors are so different that I'll be bothered too much by it.

Interesting. I believe the journal on live, as well as Wowhead's model viewer, show that colour, even though it has the red saddle when summoned. So it seems like the live appearance was considered to be the bug and they've fixed it to match the journal entry. Would be nice to have confirmation though.
