My Green Proto-Drake!!! YAAAAY! Finally, after many many many many many (did I say "many"?) eggs, I got it!!! I started busting a nut in guild chat, but no one was on. Soiled the moment for a split-second, til I ran down the hallway cheering and tackle-hugged the hubby. :D

Oooh, Grats!

I've only gotten that sucker once, on one toon, and it took a good 6 months. It's nice when you finally see that sucker when you crack open that egg :D

Did you think it was the pet first, out of curiosity? Cause I did at first...my reaction on seeing the icon was "-_- great another whelp....O...M...G....PURPLE....OMFG!"

Well, I actually have never gotten the whelp, so when I saw the icon I was all :3 I was hoping this week was it, since ICC has not been so kind in dropping armor the past few runs. I forgive you, Blizz. Gear only lasts so long, but this mount is forever. I've been taking screenshots all night, hehe.

Thanks for the grats, everyone! I'm still so happy about it!!! :D

Grats!

I have it on two toons (each have gotten a 2nd one ---- both the extra ones are in the bank, hoping, praying Blizz will one day decide to make them BoA items).

My mage is working on getting the Wolvar tankard from the Frenzyheart before switching over to Oracles to work on getting the Green Proto-Drake.

The Mysterious Eggs are an item you can purchase from the Oracles in Sholazar once reaching Revered with them (the murloc type dudes). You have to do a quest chain and then some dailies to reach that reputation level (at least it's not Exalted though!)

You can only have 1 egg at a time, and they have a hatch time of 7 days. So basically you can try once a week. :)

I've seen people get it out of the second egg they get...
And people end up quitting WoW before it dropped.
Personally, I'm hoping I'll have the patience for the Nether Ray/Nether Drake dailies, let alone getting Oracles Rep and then waiting six hundred weeks for the right egg.

My troll tried for it. A bag full of tickbirds and proto-welps (SO MANY WELPS!) and I eventually grew bored of the character.

Anyway. GRATS!!!

Congrats!

It's a joke in my guild for someone to say "I got my green proto guys I can't raid tonight" after we had a pug leave in the middle of a raid with us because his egg hatched to a green proto.
