Another new rylak has appeared in the 6.2.1 database, the Swift Spectral Rylak. Sadly we don't have an image for you at this point as there's not yet a special model for it. It currently has the same model as the Soaring Skyterror. It's quite possible it'll end up looking the same but with a spectral effect.

Unaffected by invulnerability
Aura cannot be cancelled
Persists through death

sounds like its going to be like the cata ghost griffon that lets you fly as a ghost. they could still make a true mount version of it later though.

It does seem that way A flying mount for when we're dead will be cool!

I wish we could get it as a mount but Sylvia is probably right. With flying in draenor being enabled, if we don't get a ghost mount there will be a lot of corpses stuck in odd places that can't be reached while on ground... I would know, with how many times I've accidentally dismounted while flying and ended up in a place without a ghost gryphon... >.>

Below is a shot of the rylak you ride when you're dead. I'm in Nagrand. Guk (rare in non-instanced Highmaul) is a right prick to kill, btw.

The thing is that the Swift Spectral Rylak mount is in the player mount database, which the death mounts in Northrend were not. Mount.db2 is normally only for real player mounts. Either that's a mistake by a dev who didn't know any better, or this is really going to be a player mount.

Would be cool if they brought back the scroll of resurrection for this... though I don't know if Id ever get the mount lol.
