It's the discord that discovered the hippogryph in the first place & where I got tons of help when I found my own crystals back in September. Lately, we've been finding crystals daily with no one to give them to as the majority of our members already own it. So if you're out there hunting on your own join us and maybe we can help! Feel free to share the link with friends as well.

It's not just for the hippogryph though, we also hunt for other secrets still undiscovered, like the shoe shine kit & other missing toys. Really awesome community. ;)

I've been watching the Discord channel that Lupen mentioned -- they really do find crystals very regularly. Hop on and, if the region and faction work for you, don't be shy! I've seen people miss their chance at crystal hunting by minutes because someone else piped up first. It's very cool to watch ... especially when people put up their screenshots of their pretty purple critters. Thanks to all, especially Lupen, for this!

Since I am having such bad luck finding these things and the only other way is to post a bid on another site but must have minimum of 250k which I will never have I am asking for help in finding these for the mount I can pay you but only 30k.

Join the discord I posted and we'll get you one for free... there's no need to pay. Just pay attention to chat; we give them away daily. Or if you run into the first crystal yourself we can help find the rest.

What is this discord thing and is it free?

Discord is a free all-in-one voice and text chat, though we only use the text chat. There's both a desktop & mobile app.

You just have to click the link I posted above which will invite you to our channel, then make an account. It's super easy to use and we've already given away hundreds of mounts through it. You don't really have to chat if you don't want to... just keep an eye on #general during the day to see if anyone finds something in your region, then just speak up to claim it. Crystals are usually first-come-first-serve.

Yep. In our Discord we have a couple of different channels, people usually post in #general when they need help or are giving away crystals :) And known-hippo-info has all of the information we've gathered on spawn locations, timers etc.

I did notice your realm was blackwater raiders by the way, we actually just had a spawn there at 12:30 am pst, so you could potentially see another in 12 hours - around noon pacific time. Would be a nice time to camp if you're able. :)

That's exactly what happened to me yesterday on Magtheridon-EU - got 4 crystals and about 2 minutes after there was the Azsuna-wide emote that hippogryph has been found

Sorry to jump on an old thread, I'm just curious is this discord channel still available? I've already had the hippogryph for a long time now, went searching so hard once I found out and found 4 crystals but couldn't find the fifth one after hours of searching and it was extremely late so I went to bed, same time the next night I found them again and found a lovely hunter who helped me find my last one <3 Now I'm looking to get one for my OH too I'm also finding a lot of spirit beasts recently and I can never find anyone to take them

Is there a zone wide emote that tells when someone gets this? I found 4 and then couldn't find the 5th but saw no emote. When the first crystal I found was no longer there I just figured someone beat me to it is that right? Or do they just despawn if you're too slow?

*update I got the mount (woot!) and saw the emote but I defiantly didn't get one the night before when the crystals despawned...do they just despawn if you're too slow? It took me maybe 20mins to find the last one I think.
