Magnakilro's Guide to Glory of the Legion Hero

Unread post by Magnakilro »

Hi-howdy folks! Magnakilro here to bring you a guide to yet another achievement mount! We've earned dragons of many sorts so far....as well as a boar....but now our new ride will be a beautiful arcane hippogryph!

Now, one thing to note: Aside from 2 achievements....EVERY ACHIEVEMENT FOR THIS META REQUIRES MYTHIC DIFFICULTY! Heroic is not enough anymore.

Also do keep in mind that Court of Stars and Arcway are part of this. These dungeons are mythic-only and must be unlocked via a questline available at 8000/12000 Honored with Nightfallen.

Now...without further ado....LET'S BEGIN!

----------

Eye of Azshara:

1: But You Say He's Just a Friend: You need to kill Parjesh without any of his melee adds dying.

Yup....simple as that. Use the caster adds to block spears. These guys ARE susceptible to some CC like Monk Paralyze or Hunter Wyvern Sting. They have low-ish hp so watch your cleaving.

--------

2: Stay Salty: Kill 11 Globule adds with one Curse of the Witch, then kill Lady Hatecoil.

She summons these via Beckon Storms. Just let them live till 11 of them are up and about. Then have a player with the Curse of the Witch debuff face the adds. The frontal cone from the debuff expiring should wipe them out.

--------

3: Ready For Raiding V: Kill Wrath of Azshara without getting hit by Frost Resonance or Magic Resonance.

Frost Resonance is applied by getting hit by Massive Deluge, Tidal Wave, and Raging Storms. Magic Resonance is applied when you are hit by Mystic Tornado, Arcane Bomb, and Lightning Strike. In other words, you must perfectly dodge ALL mechanics (minus the one ability you need to stack for to split damage)

--------------------------------------------------------

Vault of Wardens:

1: I Ain't Even Cold: Kill Ash'golm while the entire group is debuffed with Fired Up.

Fired up is applied when you absorb 5 pools of lava (stand in it to absorb.). It increases the Fire dmg you take by 50%. You'll want to stagger the acquisition of this debuff to ensure everyone gets it safely. Use Countermeasures if the adds are getting too crazy.

----------

2: Who's Afraid of the Dark?: Kill Cordana after successfully dodging Creeping Doom without anyone holding the light and while Cordana is in the air.

Creeping Doom is when she summons the wall of invisible Cordana ghosts that travel in a straight line. The first time she does this ability, she'll float in the air. The ghost walls are revealed by the Light, but you can't use it for this cheev.

Here's what ya do: When fight begins, use light to keep the void zones away. Throw it on the ground when Creeping Doom comes (you want it out of your hands before this comes up). Hunters Flare and DH Spectral Sight can reveal the ghosts. There is also a brief period when they spawn where you can see them getting ready. You then just need to perfectly dodge every ghost wall.

----------

3: A Specter, Illuminated: Kill the 3 hidden Specters (cheev description in-game is wrong).

After Cordana dies, have someone grab the Light. Now head back to the room between Glazer and Ash'golm and look around for a hidden ghost warden. Follow the ghost and she'll spawn a ghost of one of three bosses defeated in this dungeon. Repeat the process till all 3 are defeated.

The ghosts themselves each have an 'enrage' mechanic on a very short timer so you need to burst them down ASAP.

---------------------------------------------

Darkheart Thicket:

1: Egg-cellent: Kill the Hatespawn Abomination, then kill Dresaron.

When you enter Dresaron's arena, look behind him. There'll be a larger purple-ish egg. Run over to it to hatch it. Kill the add that spawns (you DO need to kill it DURING the fight) then kill Dresaron. Lowering the add's hp to a low % then pulling Dresaron before killing it is perfectly fine.

---------

2: Burning Down the House: Kill Shade of Xavius while he has 10 stacks of Apocalyptic Empowerment.

This buff increases Xavius's dmg done by 5% per stack. The buff can only be accessed starting at 50% remaining hp. At that point, meteors rain down on the battlefield with void zones warning you as to where they'll land. If Xavius is hit by one, he gets a stack. So he needs to get hit by 10. Buuuut there's a catch....the buff only lasts 10 seconds. So you need to get his hp low enough that you can finish him in 10 seconds before you fill up his stacks.

-----------------------------------------------------

Black Rook Hold:

1: You Used to Scrawl Me In Your Fel Tome: Find all of the entries of Illysanna Ravencrest's Diary. Can be done on any difficulty.

Very easy. Just finish the dungeon, then scope the place out for a clickable piece of paper (there's a bright white outline on it).

Only catch: Only ONE entry spawns per run. You'll nee to run this dungeon 6 times minimum to get them all.

------

2: Black Rook Moan: Kill a Frustrated Soul, then kill Amalgam of Souls.

When Amalgam's hp is lowered enough, it summons a bunch of banshee adds. You need to keep one of these adds on the field for like a minute. Once done, the add becomes a Frustrated Soul. Kill it, kill boss. Boom.

-----

3: Adds? More Like Bads: Kill Illysanna Ravencrest without killing her adds.

No real explanation needed here...tunnel the boss down.

-----------------------------

Neltharion's Lair:

1: Got to Ketchum All: Get an imprint from all 7 named snails in the dungeon with the Ketchum Tablet. Can be done on any difficulty.

There are 7 snails hidden throughout the Lair. You need to smack them all with a Ketchum Tablet. This is cumulative...you can do this in as many runs as needed.

To get the tablet, at the start drop down to Ebonhorn and look to the right to find a Mushroom Vendor...he has the tablet. Go buy it.

Snail locations:

1: Scaly: Scaly is on a mushroom during the Barrel riding part. You need to throw a fish at him to get him off. He'll end up getting swept downstream straight to where your going.

2: Sparky: After the barrel ride, dive under water and swim through the little tunnels and such to find a hidden cave behind the waterfall. Sparky's inside. A chest sometimes spawns in here too. Be careful with Sparky, as he leaves lightning AoE under him as he moves.

3: Slinky: Near the 2nd boss, there's a path that leads to where the Bat world quest boss spawns. Slinky is well-hidden in that area.

4, 5, 6: Turbax, Blaze and Whipsnap: Anyone who's done Neltharion's Lair has seen these three. These are the snails racing each other after the second boss. Just make sure you don't kill them with your AoE's.

7: Sticky: After the previous snails, there's basilisk-filled waters you can hop into. Swim to the cave in the back and clear the basilisks. Sticky is on the ceiling in here. Just use some sort of ability on him (preferably without killing him) to get him down.

-----------

2: Can't Eat Just One: Kill Naraxas after she gets 6 stacks of Ravenous.

Ravenous is a permanent buff that's applied whenever she eats the tank or a drogbar add. Be warned: Each stack is a +15% dmg increase for Naraxis. Get her to a low hp % before getting her stacks up.

-------------------------------------------

Halls of Valor:

1: Stag Party: Kill a storm drake that has 10 stacks of Killing Blow.

When you get to Fenryr's area....do NOT pull the storm drake at the start. Avoid it and start clearing. The goal is to make sure the 10 Neutral stags in the area can be easily reached without hassle. DO NOT PULL THE STAGS AT ANY POINT!

Once you have a clear path to all 10 stags, go back and pull the stormdrake. Bring him to each stag. THE DRAKE MUST KILL THE STAGS ON HIS OWN! DO NOT PULL THE STAGS TO SPEED THINGS UP!

Each stack of Killing Blow adds +10% hp and dmg to the drake, and the buff lasts 1 minute. Keep that in mind.

------

2: I've Got What You Mead: Splash all 4 Vrykul Kings with a Mug of Mead.

Make sure no one grabs any mugs of mead on the way to Hyrja and Fenryr. Once those two are dead, clear out the ENTIRE mead hall area. Then, have four players each grab a mug of mead at about the same time. These players then must each run to a Vrykul King in Odyn's area and you must all throw your mead mugs at the kings at about the same time. Once done, cheev is yours.

-----

3: Surge Protector: Defeat Odyn without his adds casting Surge.

Odyn has adds called Stormforged Obliterators. They cast an interruptible AoE called Surge. Interrupt it every time it comes up. Kill adds fast to help with keeping Surge at bay.

------------------------------

Maw of Souls:

1: Instant Karma: Kill Ymiron after 6 Risen Warriors are killed by Defiant Strike.

There is a Seacursed Soulkeeper trash mob preceding the boss. Clear the trash pack minus the Soulkeeper, then pull Ymiron. Ymiron will summon the Risen Warriors....all you need to do is lure the Soulkeeper into killing 6 of them with Defiant Strike.

------

2: Helheim Hath No Fury: Save the Captured Val'kyr.

One you get imprisoned on the Naglfar, a hidden timer starts, sparked by an emote message that Harbaron is draining a Val'kyr's soul. You need to quickly get to Harbaron AND kill him before the Val'kyr dies.

------

3: Poor Unfortunate Souls: Kill Helya while Everyone is afflicted with Poor Unfortunate Soul.

This achievement can be tricky. To begin, you must first enter Black Rook Hold on Heroic or Mythic difficulty. At the start, there's a clickable candle that applies a 30 minute buff to the group. Click it...make sure everyone has the buff. You now have 30 minutes to clear the dungeon WITHOUT DYING. If ANYONE dies...you must start over.

After killing Dantalionax, your buff becomes a 10 minute buff. You now have 10 minutes to get to Maw of Souls and kill Ymiron. WITHOUT DYING.

With Ymiron down, you now have a 15 minute buff. You have 15 minutes to reach and kill Harbaron. WITHOUT DYING!

After Harbaron is dead, you are now all Poor Unfortunate Souls (so sad, but true). You must now defeat Helya WITHOUT DYING!

Dying at any point will force you to have to start over back at Black Rook.

Completing this achievement rewards the Lagan mini pet...an eel.

-------------------------------------

Assault on Violet Hold:

1: You're Just Making it WORSE!: Defeat Millificent while she's very cross with you.

Just have someone use the Manastorm Duplicator toy, then pull and kill her. Do note she'll nuke the person using the toy pretty hard at the start.

------

2: I Made a Food!: Kill a Black Bile, then kill Festerface.

Festerface spawns a Black Bile when his energy meter fills completely. His energy meter is reduced if he eats the ground nastiness, so you can't let him clear the room for you. Once the Bile spawns, just use one of the defense thingies in the dungeon to blow it up. Then kill boss.

----------------------------------

The Arcway:

1: Clean House: Kill Corstilax without any pools of Nightwell Energy expiring.

Just soak all the pools he spawns. Simple as that.

--------

2: Arcanic Cling: Kill Ivanyr without taking damage from Charged Bolt.

Charged Bolt is those orbs fired out of the crystal when Ivanyr casts Unstable Mana. You need to perfectly dodge ALL of the orbs. This cheev is personal

---------------------------------------------

Court of Stars:

1: Waiting For Gerdo: Deactivate all the watchposts after Gerdo signals them, then kill Gerdo.

There are 5 Watchposts in the dungeon. They can be clicked to deactivate them. You can't do that right away.

Clear ALL trash on the way to Gerdo, ESPECIALLY the ones on the watchposts.

Once all 5 watchposts are cleared of trash, pull Gerdo. He will cast 'Signal Watchposts' which will spawn one powerful add for each active Watchpost (total of 5. Big heals and defensives on tank here as he'll get blasted pretty hard). Kill the adds, then have someone go back and deactivate all 5 watchposts, then kill boss.

----------------

Dropping Some Eaves: Listen in on the conversation between Elisande and Melandrus.

This cheev can NOT be done if you are doing 'Waiting For Gerdo'.

What you need to do:

1: Do not let a SINGLE sentry or Gerdo activate a watchpost.

2: Deactivate all Watchposts before pulling Gerdo.

3: Find the Legion spy on the first try.

4: Get the keys from the spy and just stand by the closed door leading to Melandrus. If done right, you'll hear a new conversation between him and Elisande. Listen to the whole thing...cheev's yours.

-----------------------------

And there you have it! Hope you enjoy your new mount!

One thing I forgot to point out...as these are Mythic....you have a Weekly lockout rather than daily...same as the Raid meta cheevs.

I appreciate having this rundown! Eventually I'm going to have to get this done in order to get the lovely blue phoenix bow for my hunter. I admit I'm really anxious since I don't have a raiding guild or anything of the sort this expansion, but I'm hoping to gear up with a friend and see what we can do. :)
