Just found out about this Horde only mount questline, similar to the Venomhide Ravasaur. There's not an Alliance equivalent, unfortunately, but this does look cool. Probably everyone already knew about this but me, but I thought I'd share just in case lol

Before anyone goes "Aww this is Horde bias again!" remember that the Alliance had this kind of thing first with the Frostsaber and it took a very long time (like expacks) before the Horde got the Venomhide Ravasaur quest which was meant to be the Horde equivalent and they never put it in for some reason. I don't know why there is no Alliance version of this quest but I'd just say be patient. Is this mount like account wide? I'm not sure.

I've been keeping up with the dailies ever since I got the egg and I just finished the quest line today! It's adorable that he never quite learned to fly, I'm wondering if they'll add another part after Pathfinder Part II comes out?

Sooo, if alliance get bee or something else, horde better be able to use as well even if I've gotta level an alliance to get it.

I need to do something with my Horde toon. I want to see the story and this is extra incentive to do it. I'm planning on doing BM on her, so I'll have to tame a matching pet for her.. I'm excited that it's account wide, and I hope that there will be an Alliance counterpart that's accountwide too

The Bee mount flavor text should say something like "Bumble bees should be to fat to fly, this one more than most." and make it a ground mount too just have it hover to move around and have it's idle animation land and shake its fuzzy bee butt, like bee sometimes to when they land.

the bee could leave a yellow and black skid mark behind him.

What? Do you mean horde should be able to get the bee as well as the egg? If so then no. I'm pretty happy for the egg to be horde only but if they are going to restrict one mount the same should apply to another (else I'm confused by this comment!)

I think that they mean once the mount's use able it becomes account wide. Like how after you finish the pterodax quest it becomes account wide.

Oh sorry the image doesn't appear for me so totally didn't understand. I find that kinda weird that a horde toon can put work into a mount and then an alliance can use it. But I guess it works out in the end.

What's weird? It's always been like this for account-wide mounts (and pets).
My Horde toon put the work in for the various dungeon and raid achievements, my Alliance toons can use them. My Horde toon went crazy and spent 3 months in an Orgrimmar mental institution under goblin psychiatric care getting the Lucid Nightmare, my Alliance toons get to keep their sanity AND ride the pretty unicorn.
My Horde toon got the Riddler's Mind-worm, and my Alliance toons get to use it (which they don't because it's ugly as sin).
The same for the Llothien Prowler, the Arcanist's Manasaber, etc...

Well I mean the other two faction specific rasing quest mounts have only been that faction specific so it is a bit odd that this rasing quest mount is not.

Because of the nature of this quest, and how it's almost identical to the Frostsaber/Venomhide quests where you raise the mount yourself, a lot of people expected it might be Horde only, and we couldn't really be sure until we obtained it to check. Both the Frostsaber and Venomhide are faction-bound: I cannot ride a Frostsaber on my Horde characters even though I unlocked it on my account, and vice versa. In all honesty I'm not entirely sure if that's not what was intended and it will be changed in the future, I guess time will tell!

Pretty much what Cow and veph said - rep and achievement mounts are abit different to a long quest chain tied to one faction (that only one faction can start).

If the bee can fly, not really fair though. Hopefully both sides get both mounts.
