First Real Cataclysm Mount

In case you are interested and missed it in the mess of Cataclysm posts, we saw the first real new mount in the beta build today.

Wow, I really missed it, thanks for posting.
Although my mind just denies to imagine an orc or tauren riding it...
That's some fancy alliance mount.

Horde better gets something more... more... fierce!

That's pretty neat.

What is the status of land mounts in Cata, btw?

Are they obsolete?

I was thinking the very same thing! Poncy Alliance (and Blood Elves) on a pretty seahorse, yes, (rest of) Horde, not so much.

Sharks with freakin' laser beams. Or in WoW's case probably some kind of goblin mounted gun that will probably blow the sharks head off when fired.

So do any testers know if land mounts are now obsolete?

Nope. I use my land mount quite a bit in Vasjh'r (Spelling. Blargh.) without the water mount, so for a good while, you will not have the water mount, and the land mount is handy for running on land. (Then again, my premade had the Raven Lord, which I've never had, so I'm likely biased.)

But I'm SURE there are SOME zones without flying, not to mention leveling an alt 1-60 you'll have to have land mount.

i would not think so as before 60 you can't still get a flying mount so i'd say no they are not.

I was referring to post 60. I have a few mounts I worked very hard to get, and would hate to see them useless since flying will be allowed, lol.
