Are they limited time only?

Are they cage-able?

All questions answered here:

Pet level: 17-18

limited availability: yes. they are a seasonal pet, like the Qiraji Guardling. They are only available during "winter" (December 21st through March 21st). The Qiraji Guardling is only available during the "summer" (June 21st through September 21st).

cannot be caged (they are wild pets)

And since no one has asked: they are part of the achievement for taming Kalimdor (tame every wild pet available).

Note: very frustratingly, two of the required pets for that achievement are seasonal, and BOTH are on Kalimdor (Winterspring, and Silithus). Note that both are also totally AWESOME looking pets!

It probably will be a little busy the first few days. I think many collectors got one last year; I even managed to catch a rare. So hopefully it won't be too bad.

Awwww so I cant cage them and give them away, in that case once I have mine ill probably help my guildies out and maybe Xrealm some petopians.

it took m at least three days, but I DID eventually get a [rare] quality Snowy Owl, and it's a REALLY beautiful pet. I ended up taming the matching quest-related owl Hell-Hoot from the same zone for my main hunter. Now I have a matching set.
