So, this has been vexing me since Legion came out. I had a shiny Mountain Cottontail, which turned into something else. In my pet journal, it shows up as a golden rabbit. Summoned, it's a normal rabbit in a variety of colors. I thought perhaps that the gold color was reserved for some other purpose, such as a JC trinket. Then, the news came that we were getting the shiny rabbit back, which is great! I'm excited to go find one. However, that gold rabbit that isn't gold still plagues me. And now, I've found the gold skin on both a wild, non-battle critter and on a bunny NPC in the house at Whispering Bluffs in Val'sharah. So....here's hoping the golden rabbit becomes a real minipet!

Noblegarden?

I'm hoping my shiny bunny will be shiny again in 7.1 without the need to tame another one again.

Noblegarden would be appropriate, since it's Easter themed and the golden bunny could be like a foil-wrapped chocolate bunny! It would be perfect. Except probably not as tasty.

This has been bothering me too. Noblegarden would be great, but I know they are finally giving us the pink and blue dotted bunny for Noblegarden, so we might not get a gold bunny too.

From what I've heard, our golden rabbits will remain color-changers in 7.1, so we will need to retame to get the new shiny appearance.

The shiny appearance isn't the gold one though, not from the pictures I've seen. The new shiny is white, like the old shiny was. I'm talking about an actually gold-when-you-summon-it rabbit

Are you sure it's not just an iron pyrite bunny?

Yeah they added a new silver skin for the shiny model, to mimic the style of the original shiny look for the cottontail.
