Its hard to tell with that image, but Shadow starts out as a NORMAL natural colored Fennec Fox, but it changes color to that purple every so often.
I'd get one, but I cant afford to buy stuff from the store right now :C

Siggy under construction!

What an adorable pet!! <3 I love the concept of a light/shadow creature. I picked up a couple for me and my friend, that face is too cute to resist, and it's nice to know the funds are going to disaster relief. :)

I have a number of friends who live in the area of the disasters. I very much wish I could afford to buy one of these little fellows, both because it's nice to know the money is going to the right place *and* because they are adorable.

I always am happy to see when Blizzard does things like this. It's a huge help, I hope!

sadly, Blizzard chose to make the donations to the Red Cross, so I will be withholding this purchase, no matter how much I really want this pet.
I cannot condone giving money to as disorganized and dishonest a group as the Red Cross.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

Which group would you recommend giving your donations to instead?

There are animal welfare groups in both Florida and Texas that are dealing with the after-effects of the hurricanes that could seriously use financial support.

Alright, but names?

Encouraging people to donate to causes is more helpful if you offer the name(s) of the alternatives, so people can do research into the charity(ies) to donate to. :) And does a lot more than simply discouraging them from donating to a cause. If you have alternatives, then by all means!

It isn't up to me to give you names of charities to give to, you can do that on your own.

I also am not discouraging others from giving to anyone.
I stated why *I* cannot in good conscience buy this pet and make this financial contribution.

Go ahead and get the pet, maybe some of the money Blizzard gathers will actually make it into the proper avenues rather than the pockets of the CEOs of ARC.

Indeed...and thats a primary reason why I'm not getting it. Nor my niece that plays also.... The Red Cross rep in the past couple of years...pretty questionable..

The good news for those who object to the Red Cross and Red Crescent is that it's not for charity always.
