After spending a few days attempting to locate Vile Sting I decided to ask the GM if he/she could tell me if Vile Sting was removed.

The reply was:

"Sadly, Vile Sting was removed due to the impending Cataclysm".

Congrats to those that have him/her stabled already.

I heard that the area was gonna possibly get flooded in Cata, not sure if thats true. I got Vile Sting about 2 weeks ago with that maybe comming. I wonder when they removed it? Thats stinks if its already gone :(

Vile Sting will disappear with 4.0.3a, which brings about the world changes. Thousand Needles is completely flooded, so that's why he no longer exists. He'll still be around now until then if you wanted to grab him.

I don't mean to practice thread necromancy but this is a reminder for all of those who want to tame the Vile Sting for sentimental reasons as I did (him being my first of favorite pets) being that there's less than a week left to get him should The Shattering happen this upcoming Tuesday for US players, or Wednesday for EU players.

After reading your post about just taming Vile, I rushed to Thousand Needles and waited. In about an hour my faithful NPC scan went off. Good thing because I was busy reading the Pet Forum and might have missed him. Now I have Vile Sting. :D

From what the GM's told me in their message I thought that Vile Sting had already been removed.
