Question about ghostpaw alphas

Unread post by Scallywag »

I tried searching through the forums but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I've tamed one on my goblin hunter using the pet abandon script, and it has the ghost form.

I also have the lone hunter and armored battle boar, but what I was wondering was if the ghostpaw maintained the ghost form AFTER it dies. I know the wolf and boar do but I spent a lot of time taming the wolf that way and didn't want an hour to go to waste testing it.

Thanks :D

They dont unfortunately, any pet that loses its glow/converts back to its original form it its a shapeshifter (your alpha) loses it if you or the pet dies :( sorry </3 the spectral wolves are gorgeous but sadly the only one anyone can tame now that keeps its form is the lvl 85 spirit beast Karoma

welcome to the forums btw :)

There actually is an answer to this on the mega-thread for special tamed pets. When the special tamed ghost wolf dies, it loses the 'buff' upon death because in the wild it loses it as well. This is true for any pet that loses its 'buff' upon death in the wild.

i tried this for a short while but gave up because who wants a pet that loses its appearance after death? (i know i dont) i still say gratz for y'all that have it but meh. :| as an owner of the original gtsg i can understand everyone wanting one and i feel for those who missed it, it was really a classic case of being up and running in game and in the right place at the right time along with sorta bad pr on blizzs part for removing it ala stealth nerf. they did throw y'all a bone with karoma (of who i dont like) and it keeps the skin y'all want so bad. i am not dissin anyone who has or is attempting this, i am just boggled as to the 'why do it' of it all. unfortunately, there will always be someone out there that has something that is no longer available as i know i am in that boat for not being of the correct lvl to get a shalozar basin hydra. i am also of the opinion of why have something that everyone else has ? eew! i.e flaming boars, cause as far as i have seen, my 2 current lvl 85 hunters have them along with 2 others i have helped. i have seen them nowhere else on my server. who knows, maybe the next big, omg is so freaking hot i gotta have it pet may be yours that no one else can get because it is removed and you are lucky enough to keep.

again this is not an attempt to troll nor inflame the passions of anyone, therefore i humbly make the request of no angry, hostile or putdowns in any potential replies to a single opinion. nor is this a putdown, diss or otherwise some form of hostility untoward anyone who have accomplished this or the original author of this thread

thank you all for letting me express an opinion in what i hope is in a civilized manner.
