Oil Tamed Fledgling

I'm still trying to get the oil stained wolf, but does anyone know if the oil stained fledglings are tameable?

Tameable, yes. Tameable with the oily coating? No. There's no quest for these fledglings like there is for the wolf.

True, but I thought since they started off neutral, someone might be able to figure out a trick. Hey, it was worth a shot, right?

Aren't there oil collector bots that wander around taking the buff off mobs too? I never tried because I lacked the patience to sit around waiting for the bot to get to a mob.

The trick isn't that the wolves become neutral. The trick is because the wolves despawn. So alas, trying to tame the bird because they're neutral won't make a difference. You'd have to find some way to make them 'despawn'. And I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Do they keep the debuff when they die? I could never get the wolves to work that way, but who knows.
