Long story short, while scouring the PTR, I noticed that the Petrified Stone Bats in Deepholm show on tracker as beasts, despite being friendly, motionless "objects." Beast lore says they're tameable :lol:

Sadly, they're green-named and so cannot be aggroed (although if anyone can think of a way, do let me know), but I found it interesting nonetheless :P

i would love to have a petrified bat following me. It could crawl akwardly on the ground! And id name it pebbles..

After reading this I had an idea and headed strait there. Sadly setting yourself to "at war" with Therazane does not change the "friendly" nature of the petrified stone bats. Did confirm that the tooltip still says tameable, so who knows. Maybe someone will find a way to aggro it.

Edit:
Also, tried scare beast, traps, pet aoe, clocking tame. Nothing is able to affect it due to friendly nature. Another idea I had though, do the basilisks petrify the stone bats that fly overhead at any point?
