So recently, I've begun to notice something... familiar about King Krush, and I figured I'd share it to the rest of everyone here.





Call it a conspiracy theory, but I now believe King Krush is a reference to King K. Rool of the Donkey Kong series.

Think about it for a moment:

• Both are green with yellowish underbellies.
• Both are kings in their own right.
• Both reside in a jungle environment.
• And both have at least one visibly bloodshot eye.

Lastly, King Krush's name, if spelled out in a similar vain to Rool's, would be "King K. Rush".



And if you still think this is mere coincidence, take a gander at the introduction cutscene of the final boss fight in Donkey Kong 64. At about a minute and 38 seconds into the video, the announcer introduces the King in the ring as "King Krusha K. Rool". :P

Yessss!

I totally agree with you. :D As a huge DKC addict growing up, I always adored the kremlings and KK. I think at one point I did register that the names reminded me of each other, but I never really stopped to give it much thought. You're right though, Krush seems like the perfect nod at K. Rool.
