New maggot pet found *No longer Tameable for 5.2*

Judging by my own experience, 3.5/4ish hours? Maybe both times I saw her up I was actually in different realms though... CRZ is confusing!

Really wish I hadn't missed the Nesingwary one. I've been going on for years about wanting a maggot. Anyone know her spawn timer?

Silver Hunters has her listed as 'Semi-Rare' unlike Gruff who is Very Rare with a Cata wowhead-claimed rough spawn time of '2 hrs'. Unfortunately other spawns in Un'goro have mixed posts because of pre-Cata times.

But probably not terribly long.

For anyone curious. I've beast lore on the grubs & maggots in Naxx every time I can get into there (most recent check was this morning) and none of them are tamable. None of the maggots from Eastern Plaguelands are either. Maybe some day.

I really hope we can keep these and the "toothed" maggots.

Is there a specific path you need to take into the tunnels to find her?

I think she can spawn in either of the small rooms. I found her in the eastern one. After the babies spawned, I Wyvern Stung the mommy, and dragged the babies away a bit before taming, so I wouldn't kill the Clutchmother.

While I was there, I swung by AQ to check on the Silicate Feeders, still untameable.

(Yes, I know they're classified as worms, but if they're Gorishi, they're Silithids lorewise)

I got one of these fellas just a little bit ago.
I didn't want to risk having my newly tamed pet kill her before I could get it set to passive, so after she dropped 1 egg I stuck her into a freezing trap, waited for the eggs to hatch, tamed, dismissed my new wormie, then ran a little ways away and feigned so others can have a shot.

so the green maggot was here http://www.wowhead.com/pet=42#gallery since it appeared and since was flagged from the devs tamable days and days ago? and nobody saw that? or it appears in the wowhead gallery when one player tame it for the first time, and become it flagged as tamable in the database?
the question is: if it's here from the day it becomes tamable, if we check all the pet's gallery on wowhead we can see other pets bugged (as the larva) (if there are others)? (for now i dind't saw other strange pets, btw, on that galleries)

I think as soon as it caches in someone's game and that cache gets uploaded - whether the person has a hunter at all - Wowhead will have it listed as tameable. The tameability itself is just a variable in game files which should be cached even if you can't tame it for whatever reason.

The problem is that Wowhead occasionally lists things as tameable when in practice they're not. So after a while you tend to treat the pages with some scepticism.

When the Amber Parasite was found to be tameable, people rushed to checked other larvae. We all thought they'd all been checked but somehow this one was missed. Probably because it's the spawn of a rare spawn. It's just unlucky that probably the only one that wasn't checked turned out to be the only other tameable one.

JUST tamed on one moonguard. I was waiting with a really nice NE hunter. We talked a little, then sat there waiting a bit together. When it finally spawned, we were able to take turns and tame our own x3

We left her alive if any one happens to swing by soon!

I couldn't resist trying out this green maggot. The orange one always scared me because of the teeth, but green is fine.
It's really huge next to a bloodelf, and the colors on the back are really nice. Yellow, white, blue and green.

I only recently noticed that Chibee does that curl-up animation when hit with a knockback, too. I love it.
