Question about a couple of Hyena models.

Hi!

So, I was looking for an orangeish hyena to use (I like my pets to match my xmog >_<) and I found the Orange one, but there's two, and I cannot see a difference in them myself.

Right now I have Jaxx, but I am curious on the difference between the two, they look identical to me 0_0

They basically are identical, there's just a small difference in the shade of orange. It's nearly impossible to discern by looking at one and then the other, but the colour is slightly darker on one model. It's more obvious if you're in something like WoW Model Viewer where you can switch quickly between them. I know at one time we had a thread with comparison images but I'm not sure where that is right now.

EDIT: Ah, here's the thread. If you open the hyena images linked farther down in separate tabs and flip quickly between them it's more noticeable.

Though in that case the differences are a bit more obvious.

I wonder if these things occur when the art team changes the file name system while they're still working on the art. So they add the original skin to the database, then work on the art a bit more and copy it in again, but a new name so the old one isn't overwritten. Because in many of those cases, one of the two skins has some sort of default name with no colour or number after it, like it was just a working prototype.
