Question: How To: Tame Pets With Appearance Buffs

I was going to necro the thread - but alas it was locked (maybe since it was 4 years ago).

Figured I would just ask - are there any tricks anymore to having this work? I thought to myself the other day "I would really like the Oil Wolf again" - (I released him long ago when we only had 5 pet slots).

Is the trick with the meat perhaps still work? or the abandon macro ....

There are none that we know of that work anymore, they have all been fixed.

only lucky ones who got them before blizz hotfixed them, they could keep the effects - but in areana/die/pvp they get removed.

wich is why mine are collecting dust in my stables

Holy necroed thread batman.

The boar and the oil wolf keep the visual effects on death. There's NO REASON for them to stay in your stables. I cannot remember if the bird does or not. You can find a full list of visual buff pets HERE. From now on please try not to dig up 9+ month old threads.

The last two macros to tame these pets with buffs don't work anymore. And there hasn't been any news of a new macro that does..
I still have my Lone Wolf with the dagger in its head in my stables. I did release the Ashenvale wolf that I had tamed with the ghostform buff on tho since Karoma had the same skin model and was a spirit beast.
