Those of you who have tamed this one.
How did you do it?
I really want one but I just can't get the rangari chick down :( cause I'm really rather bad at kiting AND keeping track of debuffs and whatever else she has going.

I know there was a post with a bunch of tips... let's see: http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... 15&t=23559

Don't think anything's really changed in terms of abilities for doing this so the info there should still be good.

That didn't really help since I loathe the lfg tool and don't really have many friends on wow .. thanks anyway

Unfortunately because of her abilities you can't really cheese this fight unless you have a big group of hunters or something. :( You'll have to learn the mechanics and practice it a few times probably. I two-manned it with a buddy and it still took a few tries and a bit of time to get her down. Perseverance!

Not sure how that earlier post was not helpful since all the mechanics were discussed and several of us talked about what to look out for when soloing.

The "get several buddies"/"buy a buddy" is just one option but it's not necessary.

I picked through what I had posted and here's the gist of it:
- clear out adds nearby
- don't stand still, you can avoid all puddle damage
- interrupt her heal
- flare when she stealths
- mend pet, mend pet
- if possible bring a tank spirit beast pet so it can heal itself and so you can pop Last Stand if needed

Things that have changed (assuming her abilities haven't been changed at all):
- no more Tranq Shot to dispell her buff
- no more Master's Call to wake pet up when she sleeps it
- no more Misdirect spamming so FD to drop aggro if needed

It may be helpful for you but not really for me as I contend with an rl disability that does not allow me to function well during stressfull situations or with interacting with people I don't know.

As for the LFG tool .. all I will say is I've been left in tears more times that I care to remember by various groups more intent on winning than having fun, I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

Unfortunately the things that have changed seems to have made this fight currently un-soloable (or maybe I am just not great at it). I was able to solo her just fine with my Spirit Beast, but that's no longer the case.

You can definitely interrupt her heal, but that doesn't stop the Blessing of Fallen Kings, which buffs her immensely since we no longer can dispel (due to lack of Tranq Shot).

Without Master's Call to wake up pet, I haven't seem to have found a way to wake up my pet. And while he's asleep, she's got that insane Blessing of Fallen Kings buff. Aspect of the Turtle is on CD way too long to use each time this scenario comes up. Spirit Mend and Mend Pet CD is just long enough (and weak enough) that neither my pet nor I can stay alive.

The only way I can see doing this, currently, is in a group with a healer really to heal the pet or you. Or just a lot of DPS.

But maybe someone better than me can come up with a way to beat her solo X_x But this really sucks to see that I can't even solo things that I solo'd easy prior to patch. Ouch ;_;

Welp that sucks, I guess it didn't occur to the developers to make sure the fight mechanics were adjusted for the current abilities and talents.

I suppose if I have time I can go and try killing her again myself, just as a curiosity thing, to see how bad it's gotten.

EDIT: Oh yeah, got my butt kicked. :( Got her to about 60%. Granted the first time I forgot to drag Flare into my bar but otherwise my pet pretty much just took a nap half the time. I guess if I worked at it I could get her lower but not sure how much I want to die on this haha.

Go MM and use Black Arrow to tank for u, they disappear after 8 sec so about 4 sec u'll have to tank or get a crap ton of haste. Spec for the most single target dmg and probably get Camo for the extra heal.

Did they change it so she melees you? Cause I never once used a pet on her. Like, ever. >_> In fact, using a pet on her made her -harder-.

There's a post on here about it. Using a pet makes her use one of her hard hitting skills. If you don't use any pets (Dire Beast and Stampede also procced this), she never uses it. If they didn't change that, she should still be easy, apart from lacking tranquilizing shot.

You can probably make up for lack of tranquilizing shot with Wyvern Sting? I believe she's susceptible to CC if I recall?

Yeah, that's about the same point I got to. XD

I always used a pet on her pre-7.0. I think the one time I went without a pet I did beat her, but it wasn't fun (though, this was when I had some pretty bad gear at that exact time).

But anyways, I went MM and went back over to test this out. Went MM and petless. See if maybe that would change anything and... no she definitely does melee and smacks you around. I couldn't get her health down very well at all as MM (but I attribute that fact to being mediocre at best at MM  ).

But I did notice that she was slow to melee. But eventually she did run up to me and just begin slapping me around. I had to double check my combat log just to make sure I wasn't crazy, but yeah. She absolutely melees lol. Despite my gear having some Leech on it, I could not stay alive long enough to beat her and was honestly not even close.

MM might be the better option, if she is weaker without pets (which you're right, I'm pretty sure, she's supposed to be). So a good MM Hunter (aka not me) may have better results than I can give. But given that she does seem to melee now, that does seem to be a new challenge. :(

She doesn't use Fel Blossom when a pet/guardian isn't on her aggro table. Which is why she's easier when you don't have a pet out. That's her hard hitting skill outside of the enrage.

Her enrage lasts 1.5 minutes, so... it might be best to tweet at muffinus or post in bug reports and hope they remove it from her ability list. There's no way to outlast it currently.

Fel Blossom is that green fire effect on the ground right? I'm pretty sure it is. I could be wrong. But if it is that, no she definitely casted that multiple times with and without pets. In all my attempts as pet-less MM and pet-tank BM, she casted that green exploding/fire ground crap. I thought that was felblossom, but I could be wrong XD

Edit: Yeah double checked wowhead and my logs. She spammed that Fel Blossom regardless of pet/guardian presence. :C

I did leave a report in-game regarding her. But no idea if that will go anywhere, lol

They must've fixed it then. xD She never used fel blossom if you went in without a pet prior to 7.0.

Funny how they can fix that, but they don't fix her having an enrage but us not having tranquilizing shot. *cough* Just saying *cough*

Good News! Fel Rangari Anaara's Enrage has been hotfixed away, according to Muffinus:

I'm also available most evenings to beat her into the ground. I owe her several deaths. I can prolly scrape up a few more Petopians to help. Tsiya#1529

I finally relented and created a custom group, thankfully a kind hunter from Shattered Halls joined and helped me get the vial, I waited till late in the evening and got my wolf, she's named Sabra

Thanks for the offers though, if you still want to add me on realtid let me know.
