Found this on my DH. Has two separate buffs. One about being bugged, other about being untameable above 30% hp.

Now I'm going to try and see how to tame it.

Get to the bottom of Dr. Weavil’s insidious plans on Alcaz Isle.
Rewards include the Big Red Ray toy for everyone and tamable mechanical spiders for Hunters.

Maybe Dr. Weavil has something to do with it?

Likely that he has to do with it, but sadly I can't do much since my own hunter isn't 110 yet (leveled DH first) and you can't make premades at level 110. :c

Maybe it's scaled 100-110 but I doubt it, since it seems like endgame content.

I can take more pictures on my DH, though, until someone else finds out how to tame it!

I'm just as excited that Doctor Weavil is coming back! He was my favourite character from the Scepter chain. I wonder if Number Two is back as well.

My hunter's 100 as well. Just getting him there to see if the mobs scale. Cross fingers, but probably not. Unfortunately I have visitors arriving soon. They could have picked a better day than 7.1 patch day!

And the anti-aircraft stuff worked, but nothing else is visible. Not the elite mobs, not the spider.

Well, if it's a world quest, maybe it's a hidden one. I wonder where it starts. Anyone who hasn't unlocked world events yet probably can't look, but the rest of us likely can.

Well, hopped back on my DH so I could at least make a gif before people wake up and the secret is uncovered, ha ha.

Well, doesn't need to be a gnome / goblin. If you're 110, there's a good chance you have the mech pet taming ability already, no?

I realize as I go flying out there that even if I find anything, I won't be able to tame it, due to not being a gnome/goblin or having one of the appropriate items.

Usually on PTR, that option is there for characters. Might not be for you, though - it's random.

Bringing my 101 (100 due to the copy bugging out and giving me an older version) to see if they scale.

Edit: They don't, as I got my butt handed to me by skull level mobs.

Nice! I do hope it is vocal on click! As a Gnome Hunter, I approve. Now, if only there's a version that has the same colours of gnomeraggan flag or maybe a combo of pink and turquoise...

So far none of the mechanical pets have appealed to me, but this one's getting closer. Really it's just the colour that doesn't draw me in, but if they make a version of this that's say...black or purple, I'd definitely be swayed.
