A possible warning - No Effect-Tames in Crown Chemical!!

Not been on this account in years, but seeing how I've not seen notice about this, figured I needed to say something.
Luckily it happened to two of my junk alts and not my main accounts.

I ran Crown Chemical dungeon yesterday with my fire boars on 2 toons. No problem.

Today, I ran the dungeon and as I ENTERED the dungeon, the fire appearances were wiped.
No amount of logging in/out, resummoning, etc.. restored it.


I do not recommend anyone running this dungeon with special appearance pets out. No idea what's going on.
Not sure if it applies to normal dungeons or raids.

That's super scary.
Perhaps its because low levels can now join up so it kinda evens out peoples levels? Just a thought. Not sure if that's the case.
Either way, I'm sorry you lost your boars effects :C Thats no fun.

I feel silly because I allowed it to happen twice. The first time it happened, I didn't even notice the flames dropped as I was cycling through as many toons as I could to get a chance at the Rocket mount.

It wasn't until the second one, where she's placed in Iron Forge the flames really stand out, I was shocked when I have my flaming boar with me one minute, and zone in the flames are gone. I figured MAYBE a dungeon visual glitch --- Fire did not restore when I zoned out.

I wondered if it was just this toon and checked the first toon I ran with earlier, and she too was deflamed.

Sucks, but it could have been a lot worse. I'd of been more sore if it were on my mains. (instead of two lv24-ish toons on dead servers)

I pretty much don't take my effect pets anywhere any more. There's something inherently a little unstable about them it seems, plus I've noticed things like buffs (legitimate buffs) getting wiped or bugging out on zoning in and out of things sometimes. I've seen my buffs get wiped "zoning" into brawler's guild arena, or today with the valentine's boss, one of my toons kept trying to reapply the perfume buff protection but it just wouldn't take for some reason, but I'd been doing it all day on other toons without an issue.

I think this may happen because of scaling it's working like Timewalking does. I noticed when not on a hunter even some of my food buffs get wiped. It doesn't happy every time but it does happen. Thanks for the heads up. I too do not take my appearance buff pets out anymore. It's just too risky anymore because you never know what will wipe them.
Although there is this option if you want to try that route
