Hello guys, Grim here. I'm a very, very long time stalker of this forum Finally decided to make an account. I was just wondering what everyone's favorite pet is. My favorite is still the Cataclysm Lion, Mostly because I adore Lions.

My favourite is my old-style white bear, Winterclaw. As a tauren I ran all the way across two continents to tame him at level 10 and so he's always meant something extra to me.

And since it's hard to pick only one with the selection we have these days, here are some other ones that I absolutely love :

Oops I went overboard, it's just so hard to narrow down! (I really have a thing for black, blue, and purple )

On my main. My Grim totem spirit guide (too bad wolves lost their howl skill).
On alts. Mostly the grey moths from the dre starting zone. Then which ever spirit beast they find first.
I really wish we could just pick which skill our pets use like we can pick their spec. There are so many pets I would use if I could just pick their skill.

I really like the raven / crow pets. And Sambas is super nifty too.

With my spirit pets (cats and dogs), my only other favourite is my Jet-powered Rylak (Tura'aka).
I love how there's a matching mount (store-bought).
I love the glowing jet engines strapped to his butt.
The only thing missing is a matching battlepet.

I only have four hunters these days, and these are their favourites:

Eadgyth's favourite is Torch.


Lindorindel's is Gabilgathol.


Rasariel's is Claudine.


And finally, Lazuli's is Amber (she used to be a colour-changer, but once they were removed she was stuck as my least favourite monkey colour. They've been together since level 10 though, and I can't bear to tame a different one just to have a nicer colour...)


Amusingly, I don't actually even like the models of those pets personally, but they have all been with my hunters since level 10 (except for Gabilgathol who has been around since level 20), and in the case of Torch and Claudine, after a very long run across continents and many deaths!

My favorite pets tend to change a lot, but right now these are pets my guys are using regularly:

For Rosaliah it's Trigger and Bandit.


On Plexi it's probably TalkingHeads.

Ack, you lot have completely outdone me. My hunter (Original name Ymir, Current name Olvaldi) First rare tame was the Great white ape Tsul'Kalu which was a completely chance encounter as I was leaving northern Stranglehold. However the first pet I stalked and patiently waited for was Sian-Rotan, the white lion. I think I was around sixty four, in the beginning of Cata. It was quite the adventure, I remember reading some HP Lovecraft while listening to the rain during that hunt. As stupid as it sounds, I used to quite like waiting around for rare spawns. Don't have nearly enough time now a days though.

Most my hunters have a shared favorite in Loque except my main Azerothwolf I mainly use Lightning Paw and the Lowland Manashell.

I'm pretty partial to my Thunderlords Rylak, and the Deviate Coiler Hatchling is a pet I've had since I made Tazza in 2007. Karoma and Arcturis are my spirit beasts of choice whenever I decide I need one.

my faves are still these 2, lvld my alt hunter because i have both on 1 while my main hunter *wich is an alt now* has just the green one.

"Strudel", my toaster-puppy!

My Grimtotem Spirit wolf, summoned by the Grimtotem Shaman's in Dustwallow Marsh. She is my greatest, most loyal pet. I've had her since Burning Crusade when, during a brief time, the spawned Spirit Wolves were tamible with many mechanics used to tame them for their very short existence.

Yes, you can tame her look in the Twilight Highlands, but you'll never get to use her in a Survival or a Marksman spec like I can my Grim.

Loque'nahak in BM, Ghost Saber, Fene'mal or Skarr in MM.



Being that I mained BM since, well, pretty much forever, I had no need to look for any pet other than Loque, unless my group needed specific buffs / BL / MS for PvP. This expac I was maining MM until I left and had a chance at dusting off some of my non-exotic pets. I have a thing for "ghostly" pets, especially the saber since in Prowl he's next to un-noticeable. And I've always loved Fene'mal - the bird makes for a nice story, circling around burned down building in Plaguelands.

I've actually spent more time camping for Skarr than I did for Loque back in the day. Had the crab spawn 9 times in row - 6 were tamed between me, friends, guildiees and their buddies. Then, when Skarr finally showed, he was killed by a questing Ally druid who couldn't even reach the body later anyway. Many, many agonizing hours later I finally got him. And promtly stabled because I couldn't bear to look at him (same way with Aeonaxx, it's too much salty memories ).

Apparently, it's been long enough in the past now, and Skarr firmly took his place by my Hunterss' side until I unsubbed. But I will see him again in 7.3
