Fenryr can be tamed!

You have to clear HoV Mythic, then leave and reset the instance (this requires a "soft reset" which means waiting outside for at least 30 minutes). A new version of Fenryr will be sleeping in his cave when you go back inside. This method appears to have been hotfixed as it was unintended.
In order to tame Fenryr, you must solo
Mythic Halls of Valor up to and including Fenryr. After soloing Fenryr, the tameable version will spawn inside the cave.
Cool thing is his runes light up when he is running (and they flash when attacking).

No idea. Someone just tweeted me about it and I happened to have a cleared instance.
I remember seeing the tameable Fenryr in the 7.2 datamining, but who thinks of going back inside a cleared (and reset) instance.

I can't believe how fast some of these rather well hidden/implemented pets are being found, exciting times to be a hunting hunter

Aye. I saw that he was flagged as tamable a month or so ago in the Database. I investigated HoV, but didn't find anything. I don't think anyone would figure that you would have to clear and reset the place in order to make a mob spawn.

Only tested it on mythic? I'd love to get this wolf for my... erm, collection, but I'm not sure I have anyone to clear mythic on. I wonder if this will work on heroic?

I think I'll go run heroic right now and test this, for science.
He's not a model I feel particularly inclined to have, but this is just too neat to pass up and I'm curious to know!

Ah darn, sorry guys. I ran it as a heroic with Group Finder, but when I try to enter the dungeon again on my own after it just keeps telling me I'm not part of the instance group and that it will teleport me out. >.< I figured it would just give me my own lockout but apparently not. :<
If anyone else tries this, just a heads up not to leave the group after!

We can form groups to test this on heroic and normal. We just need people with tank and heal and a little bit of understanding.

Just cleared heroic and reset it and he's not there. Waiting on the soft reset. Will update then.

Alternatively, you can just extend an old mythic HoV lockout and walk right in.
Note: its the phase two cave (the one indicated on the map), don't leave at cave number one!

can you do this with LFG groups if you dont leave the group and teleport out and back in? getting a group for this might be a pain for me otherwise.

@Zangor, on the WHU FB page, someone posted ya do the clear, or extend lockout - if you do clear, you zone out you then can leave the group, then do the soft reset (all mobs are gone) 30min - zone in and go tame - that's funny his butt glows when he runs haha.....
He was there waiting! He also looks fantastic with the inky black potion up
