This makes me so very happy! :D I am thrilled that those who were not able to get one will be able to. It's far too pretty to keep it untameable for everyone.

Looks like the scorpid has at least two spawn locations (that I've personally seen). I imagine more.

Here's a question- my main hasn't unlocked the Molten Front yet. Is it possible to be summoned into someone else's Molten Front if I can't yet go through the usual portal?

Of course, I could just get off my butt and do Mount Hyjal quests. :,)

I'm not sure—I'd assume so (you can get summoned to MOST other zones as long as they're not expansion-locked) but we should probably test it, just to be sure. I'm relatively sure at least one of my locks is Molten Front-capable, and I know several other characters are, so if someone wants to get a testing party together I'd be down.

I've seen at least 4 spawn locations with a couple hours in between.

If you test this, could you please do us a favour and summon a sub-85 hunter? The lower, the better. I'd like to know how low the scorpion scales and unfortunately I don't have any active friends with 'locks.

Thanks :)

I have a warlock on the PTR in Molten Front Hordeside to try and test both whether summoning into Molten Front works, and how low the scorpion scales.

Anyway if there's a couple people around at some point who can log onto the PTR and help test this, that'd be fab—I'm available basically whenever so if your schedule's more stringent I can probably handle it. I don't really know the best way to coordinate this, since my usual partners to lean on don't do PTR stuff at all (and are also typically Alliance, though sooner or later the faction change will proc on one of the two copies of the lock I moved over).

For what it's worth, it's up in the southeasternmost pool at the moment:

Also, glad to see that lava is still broken for me :( (won't ever get fixed either, but I can't afford to upgrade to the version of OSX that has working lava either, because my whole livlihood doesn't run on 10.11+)

So is this scorpion available for taming yet on live servers along with feathermanes, etc., or do we still have to wait till 7.2.5?

Have to wait till 7.2.5, which might launch on the 13th.

I too am running out of stable slots. I perhaps have 3 slots available. I am thinking of letting one or two go since they are pets that I'm pretty sure I will never use, but had tamed them since I like the appearance. For a fact, I know I will be letting my florescent blue crab go. Got him out in the Isle of Thunder along with the florescent turtle.

I will need a slot for:
Fenrir
this particular scorpion.
spirit wyvern (if it ever makes it ingame)
maybe one of the mech spiders

Thant's about all the pets I want at the moment. Tho I did miss out on Auburn, the gorgeous wolf from Jandvik, Suramar. I do have the Dusky Howler which is pretty close to it, but it's not the same.

Use NPC Scan with ID 123636

The Skorpid is in Lava Pool, not to see

I got the scorpion at 5:45 - 50 am eastern time on Dalaran, near the 55, 54 area. I did kill the other scorps around so it may help. Seems to be lots of competition for this one, it helped a ton having target and tame in the same macro. Good luck fellow hunters!

Reported to have a 2 to 2.5 hour respawn, also has the leg animation been fixed or is the front right leg still broken?

Just got mine on EU - Magtheridon, in a pool to the far west, using the /tar lost macro.
It's a cutie, but my eye keeps being drawn to the weird leg :D
