So I was curious, since we have a devilsaur skin mapped to a raptor, can we do the reverse? Is there anyone with the enough wizardry who could put Gon's skin on a devil model? I'd love to see that.

It was a good thought, but unfortunately I think not. Gon uses the newer raptor model and the texture format is unique to that model. Gone are the days where a bunch of models shared a similar format and could swap skins, it seems even similar kinds of beasts can have wildly different skin layouts these days.

As you can see, the old raptor and devilsaur skins had the same layout, so one could be used on the other, except the devilsaur didn't have the feathers of the raptor, so if the skin was placed on it then it lead to weird-looking feathers. This wasn't an issue when swapping skins for the mounts as they didn't have feathers.

Aha! Took me a while to find my old skin swaps thread. This is the old devilsaur skin on an old raptor:



Shame about the feathers, because it looks pretty nice.

Wow I love the orange devilsaur.

Thanks Wain, that is a bummer. I've fallen in love with the Gon skin, and I think it would look sick on the Devilsaur. Alas, the closest I'll get is to invert the color on the Orange devilsaur you linked



Although it resembles the blue WoD raptor more than the Gon color...
