Ghostcrawler Gone.

I've never been a fan of the Ghostcrawler pet. But today I was thinking to myself, it's the one spirit beast I don't have, this is a much loved pet amongst hunters, it's about time I tame him. So now I go to Vashjir on my druid for the swim speed, I fly there and swim down, I get about half way down the path and by now I've actually really set my heart on this pet, I'm swimming along thinking surely no one comes down here anymore he MUST be up. Then I finally see him, get all excited thinking right now I need to log on my hunter and come over and tame him and as I'm about to go to log off he disappears. I'm so absolutely devastated.

Did he despawn or is it like the water strider in Pandaria and he's phased or something? Has he despawned for good

Yeah, he always did that. He likes to vanish periodically.

I haven't gone to see him for a very long time, but if I'm remembering correctly he's very 'ghostlike' and sort of fades away and then reappears farther ahead.
