I got it on my second try, Survival Camo is the way to go, no FD needed. Named him Synapsid, cuz he looks like one.

I really want to tame a Duskcloak Alpha...but I am really not in love with the meat drop thing. I bought one piece off the AH, and managed to farm two...and all three attempts have failed, for some unknown reason. I killed its two friends, trapped, feigned, dropped the meat right on its head, tamed...and it didn't work.

Buying that one piece of meat almost beggared me, so it's not like I can just go buy lots more. Given that I'm coming back (slowly) from surgery on my right arm and can't play too long at a time, I fear this kitty may have to remain an impossible dream for me. Until I win the gold lottery or something, maybe.

I just wish that if they were going to have this "super sekrit" taming method involving a very low drop rate item, that they'd do us the kindness of actually debugging the bloody thing so that the tame will reliably work.

If you're on my friends list, I have some spare meat. You might try the new survival method of camo -> Trap -> Meat -> Tame that seems to be working better.

I don't know if I'm on your friends list or not, but I'd gladly accept the offer of a talbuk meat or two. Guess I'll have to switch to Survival and dig my polearm out.

You did...as I recall, we met over a King Krush tame that I completely accidentally bogarted out from under you.

Got ONE meat. Botched the tame due to unfortunate rock collision. Have failed to find another. Am not buying meat because I want that damn Lightframe one of these days soon. Frustrated.

I still feel guilty I might've contributed to the no meat tames getting hotfixed because I made my post. But I am happy at least a few hunters tamed them.

don't forget to TARGET the Panthara, all the time the panthara must be targetted, or you trow your meat into the waste... even an attempt not targetted to tame, can mess it up

So basically camo-target-trap-target-meat-(you will see a red splash if succeeded on the meat)- insta tame

I've been aiming to tame not one, but two Panthera...
Farmed all night last night and two hours today to get only two meat.

Wasted both on them on two failed attempts.
The panthera were a reason I came back into the game, and it hurts to have to grind so hard to get such a nice pet.

Are you Horde or Alliance? I might be able to help.

Do these meat still drop haven't tried since I last tamed mine but I want that red one more and did a bit of killing but nothing.

The drop rate is rather low. Sometimes one will get lucky and get one quickly, but that usually isn't the case.

Been long time taming one of these but what was the easiest spec to tame one I think I might have been SV last time due to camo.

A long and painful grind... well paid off.

Just tried to tame the new one, Ancient Panthara, and I wasted the three pieces of meat I was saving.

I managed to tame two the first week of Argus, and have been failing consistently since. wtaf. I'm so frustrated.
