are you really trying to justify something Blizzard did because of oversight instead of actually producing informed opinions based arguments?

I feel like I stated my previous post poorly. My point was: wow biology is already so arbitrary, there's not really any point arguing about it.

I wouldn't say it is an oversight, and the opinions of myself and others here are informed. RL biology doesn't always fit WoW biology. That is how it has always been. Sometimes RL biology is in WoW or influences things, but it is not always. You're nitpicking a single thing in the game when there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other things that wouldn't fit in the real world.

For all we know, in a fantasy world with fantasy creatures, the marsuul is just an egg-laying rodent. Considering there are actual dragons and demons hanging around, I wouldn't say it's too far-fetched that the marsuul is just a unique creature that is considered a rodent, that also lays eggs

Re: Marsuul shouldn't be rodent; they lay egg
When I first saw 'Marsuul', I immediately thought 'Marsupial'.
Like the ones in Australia (possums, opossums, wombats, bandicoot, tasmanian devil, etcetera).
But since the ingame version looks more like a weasel and lays eggs.
It must be a cross breed between a Marsupialia, Mustelidae and Ornithorhynchus anatinus.
I mean it has some features from each different species/families, as I see it anyway.

Indeed. Something entirely unique to WoW's setting.
