I had the lava thing happen where my cat kept taking lava damage after I hopped away from Varga.

Oh, weird. Mine was. I wonder if the pvp affected it in that case.

I think they hot-fixed it so pets no longer take lava damage.

I made an account specifically to comment about this. My tamed Lightning Paw pet got that effect, probably after a Varga fight, and every time I summon him since, he's still shedding felfire. While standing still he does that flinch animation but he isn't actually taking damage. In motion it looks kinda cool, he runs and the fire streams behind him and on the ground, but when he's standing and flinches it feels kinda awful--and I'm sure the sound of the fire burning isn't great for bystanders.

I haven't done any PvP in Legion, so I guess this is a case of dismissing at just the "right" time for the effect to stay attached to him. Kinda wish it had happened to my fel wolf instead in terms of effects. :P

I have the same issue with my void-touched marsuul. I wouldn't mind but the twitching gets old fast and the effect takes away from his appearance.

I did this on a few of my fel pets, like the fel wolf and Lalathin. Looks neat, and the damage effect actually stops Lalathing from constantly doing the hipp animation. Kinda funny, but I'll likely remove it next timewalking.

This effect is lost upon death of said pet with the fel taint as i just tried it. Though it does stay upon stabling so far. If ya want it, it will be a show and tell pet

Neither Arena nor Timewalking removed it from mine. That struck me as weird. I don't like it so glad to know death removes it lol
