Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Yeah, seems nobody had time to go back and fix the families of these. They were reported months ago, too :/

Great pictorial journey, by the way. Thanks

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
I feel like 7.3.5 got rushed at the end, which is what caused all the issues like transmog disappearing from people, raid bosses no longer being soloable, etc.
I wish the purple silithid model becomes tameable, it's gorgeous. Only lavender pet in game.

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Yeah, sadly 7.3.5 feels not so well organised towards the end. And level scaling is starting to remind me of the class recode at the start of Legion, with similar themes of “undertake a massive, game-wide recode of something and run out of time to do it right, before launch”.
Hopefully they’ll fix it, but if the class recode is any kind of predictor then scaling issues could last well into BfA. But let’s hope they’re much easier to fix and somebody in the relevant team is really motivated.

I honestly can't believe that there wasn't time for them to quickly just change a few values on these beasts.

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
I want that spider scorpid so bad, but my Hunter has not been able to get an Argus kill. Every pug group is, quite frankly, full of idiots. I'll be mad if it's another glitch pet that I miss out on, like the Grimtotem Spirit Guide or Spirit of Koosu, especially since it's other players' fault that I can't get them in this case.

It will probably get fixed sooner or later, including for those already tamed. It is obviously not intentional.

Even if you do, they will probably fix it for all tamed scorpids. They did that to the Mana Saber that was listed as a cat a few months ago (even changed the model, I believe).

Still, being able to have fun with unintended pets is something people enjoy; I know I do. I have no shame, and gladly admit to using exploits for silly pets like the Dog Mana Saber from a while back. It's a matter of enjoying broken things, no matter how long they last.

That's all well and good, and if that is something you enjoy, then good for you. I'm just stating that these could be fixed at anytime and people should keep that in mind so that they don't gey overly attached to them. I'm sure none of us here want a repeat of the fallout that happened with the Dreamgrove Puppy.

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Eep! That is hilarious! (Also depressing because...well, quality control should be a thing, but hey, it's just a tiny little start-up company with such a small staff and budget that we can't be too critical of, after all, right?) I actually really hope the unique vocals aren't fixed though.
I'll have to go collect a tiny spiderscorp while I can. The only way it could be better is if the vulture was flagged as a spider or something.
Thanks for the photojournal. It was fun.

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Definitely agree with all that! But since both the scorpid and the spider are common models, I’m not too worried. It’ll be fun while it lasts, and after that, hopefully he at least stays small ^_^Valnaaros wrote:That's all well and good, and if that is something you enjoy, then good for you. Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Today's patch that fixed scaling and such did not fix these pets. Go get them spiderscorps if you haven't, whoever may be reading!
Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
As mentioned, they'll probably fix it like the way they fixed The Beast... I missed his icon so bad lol
Might have to go back and get his Son for old times sake.

And now they're just scorps. They're still tiny though! Also, their stable icon is still the Spider icon for whatever reason.
All other tames in the zone have remained unchanged. The Wasps are still flagged as Silithids, the Carrion Birds are still flagged as exotic, and the three rare Silithids are still untameable.
Alright, thanks for the heads-up, Slapperfish.
Kunchong for hunter pets!

Re: The Strange New Tames of Post-Wound Silithus
Good news! I read the unfortunate yet expected fate of Spiderscorp, so I logged in to check mine. Beast lore shows it as a spider still. Hope you all got your skittering buddy when you could!
EDIT: Scratch that, spiderscorp is dead. It doesn't have Web Spray, but it has Deadly Venom. Beast Lore, why are you such a liar!
