Pet diets that encompass "cooked" but not "raw"

There are a number of pet families whose diet includes meat or fish, but oddly doesn't include "raw meat" or "raw fish". The reason for this is almost certainly because the two raw versions were added many expansions later (MoP I think?), but in game terms it seems odd.

I'm just listing them here...

Pet families that eat meat but not raw meat:
  • Basilisk
  • Bat
  • Bear
  • Bird of Prey
  • Boar
  • Carrion Bird
  • Cat
  • Chimaera
  • Core Hound
  • Crocolisk
  • Devilsaur
  • Dog
  • Dragonhawk
  • Fox
  • Hyena
  • Nether Ray
  • Raptor
  • Ravager
  • Scorpid
  • Serpent
  • Silithid
  • Spider
  • Spirit Beast
  • Wolf
Pet families that eat fish but not raw fish:
  • Basilisk
  • Bear
  • Bird of Prey
  • Boar
  • Carrion Bird
  • Cat
  • Crab
  • Crocolisk
  • Dog
  • Dragonhawk
  • Fox
  • Spirit Beast
  • Turtle
  • Void Stalker
  • Warp Stalker
  • Wind Serpent

Are there any pet families that you think are missing things in their diets?

Maybe wolves would eat anything that dogs eat, they are scavengers in the wild and not restricted to a meat diet. At least they should be able to eat fish.

Beetles should probably eat bread.

It's a shame that gems and stone (from mining) aren't a food type, as it'd be very thematic to be able to feed them to basilisks and shale spiders.

We've got classy pets now, Wain, and they will not be denied.

On a more serious note, the only pets I can imagine preferring cooked meat would be ones who had access to fire (such as dragonhawks and core hounds) because they could naturally tenderise the meat without the need of someone with opposable thumbs. Bird pets (carrion, prey and long/crane) should probably eat berries/fruit as well, as I'm pretty sure that's a thing that real birds do.

There should also totally be an insect option for food. Bats come to mind for that, but I'm sure there are others.

I have noticed that the Wolfhawks are listed as eating everything, but they will not eat the Dried Mackerel Strips (cooked fish). Also does not eat the Bear Tartare (cooked Fatty Bearsteak).

My Hyena also will not eat the Bear Tartare.

Oh, Hi all. Been a long time since I have been here.

Wow, it has been a while! I had to look twice at the name :)

I guess those are cases of the food itself not being flagged properly? I guess Bear Tartare should be classed as raw meat, even though it's produced by cooking.
